Kevin Nethercott
Historically, enterprises bought services from carriers. However, over time this built-in market that carriers were able to offer, has eroded. Companies have been buying over the top services from other vendors, leaving the carriers with a commodity product. In this podcast, the newly named Managing Partner of the Communications Platform as a Service Acceleration Alliance (CPaaS Acceleration Alliance), Kevin Nethercott describes how CPaaS enabled the carriers not only to get back in the game, but to offer their clients the type of customer experiences that build brand loyalty, which in turn means the carrier becomes an essential partner. Nethercott sees significant growth for the carriers as they use CPaaS to offer larger firms, innovative customer service, while he sees CPaaS empowering the carriers to provide smaller customers with business building tools for their mobile customers, meaning CPaaS can deliver even for a small business that runs off a mobile device. We learn how Nethercott and founding partner, Rob Kurver, are mapping out a future where the Accelerator Alliance will help the CSP community make the most of CPaaS. Nethercott points out that bringing people together in the community, leads to blending of ideas, approaches, and focusses, where the CSPs can find success with CPaaS.
