Welcoming a new "exploration of this new community space re-imagined in the kitschy, trippy aesthetic of the 60’s sci-fi film and comic Barbarella" Going with the theme and time slot, I played a deep and bass-y (bassey? bassie?) warming up for the firey set that @davidmcgrath (Workr) played. Thanks to David for organizing such a wonderful evening and to BARbarella, definitely a new favourite space.

I had the pleasure of playing at the Decadent Oasis fundraiser at the Bayview Boat Club on a beautiful San Francisco October eve. The sun was setting as we danced by the water facing the bay but even more spectacular was the full moon that rose during the set. A beautiful day and a beautiful group of talent and dancers.

This set is a journey, starting high energy, taking a little deep break as the moon rose, and landing on some familiar but punchy tracks. Oh also, there’s a small surprise in there from kev/troll. ;) Enjoy!

The 10th annual Frolic. Frolic 2012 was my first ever public DJ set, playing by the pond at Camp and Sons. This year, I returned to the poolside playing peak pool time on Saturday. I went for a dance-y, bass-y, and sometimes silly (and sharky) time.

I had the honour of opening the party at this year's Friends 'n' Family campout. As the first set of the weekend, I took a little bit of a fun spin to warm everyone up before moving onto some fun booty breaks. As it so happened, my dear friend and fellow Space Cowboy bassben was playing after and we tag teamed for part of both our sets. What a fantastic way to start the weekend!

You can tune into the second, housier (and just as booty shaking)part in part 2: https://soundcloud.com/bassben/bassben-vs-kevnull-live-friends-n-family-xxiii-pt-2

Recorded live aboard the USS Hornet Museum at "Make Waves" ANDC. A mix of tuned up techno, tuned down psytrance, and turned up bass.

My first ANDC ever was 7 years ago at a similar even aboard the same Vessel. It was an incredible privilege to play on the main floor at 2am for this incarnation of the event.

For a long time now, I've collected some music that is quite different from my usual peak breaks sound. I've had a large collection of progressive and deep house I've wanted to play at sunrise and was given this opportunity by the fine folks at Decadent Oasis this year at Burning Man.

As the light shone over the "palm trees" and the sun started to shine on everyone's faces, a couple dozen skydivers with tails started to descend from the sky. A perfect, magical, playa moment.

2018 is my 9th consecutive outing to Burning Man. Consistently one of my favourite places to be and to play are under the LED palm trees of Decadent Oasis. This year, they had the splendid location of Esplanade and 3:30. I played two very different sets there. This was at their annual "Welcome Home" party on Monday night—a not-so-gentle hug for everyone starting off the week. I had a full 90 minutes to take everyone on a prime time journey through some hard electro breaks and driving psytrance. Enjoy!

PS I post sets and shows on facebook: https://facebook.com/djkevnull

This year's magical weekend of Frolic included some experimentation with the music lineup including an extended Friday night lineup.

Going with the flow of experimentation, and having just put together a set a few months ago that was mostly Psytrance, I went with something quite different from breaks. In fact, the set is a journey through progressive house, techno, psytrance, psybreaks, tech house, future house, and more. The one constant from my other sets is you should turn it up for maximum effect ;)

Enjoy the ride.

Opening the Beach Stage at the Priceless 2018 campout in Belden Town. We start off from silly to silly and funky to silly and funky and glitchy. It's like a funk glitch stack, on top of itself.

Put on your headphones, lounge in a floaty, shake a booty.

Feeling sleepy? Need a little pick-me-up? A helping of psytrance and psybreaks is just what the doctor ordered. This set is a journey with a lot of focus on some deep low frequencies. That Special K(Hz) that reverberates through you. Brought to you by Special K(ev/null).
