I believe one of the most needed aspects of “reform” in the Ekklesia is a revelation of Christ within the Godhead and the impact it has on the functioning of His Body.

The Ekklesia must recapture its prophetic zeal and be the salt and light in the world we are called to be. When salt loses its flavor it is good for nothing.  We cannot be nonessential in time when we are needed the most.

As we come towards the end of the year as well as Election Day in America, the question I continue to ask God and wrestle with is what will it take for the Ekklesia to fulfill its God given destiny?

The Jesus People Movement in the 1960-70’s was a move of the God that not impact the nation but shifted culture. It was a catalyst that carried similar characteristics of our present culture that is position for another awakening. My friend John Ruttkay was one of those gifts used during this time.

One of the most profound revelations that is needed within the body of Christ is the power of community that flows through corporate union with the Headship of Christ. It is Christ living in us and us in Him that reality of His life is seen in the context of community.

The process of preparation for those who are called as reformers and revivalist is vital as they move from the calling into a new way and the death of the old.  The revelation of Jesus brings about an end of one thing and the beginning of another.

As I continue to drink from the well of what it means to embrace union with the Crucified Christ, I began to see God forming a “people” who carry certain qualities of the Jesus People Movement, but the emphasis is on a “People Moving and Acting Like Jesus”.
