There is an important truth of walking with the Lord in discipleship is walking in His divine council. There are powerful parallels of revelation that are seen when comparing the language of the relationship of the Old Testament prophets and God with Jesus and His disciples.

Michael Gorman coined the term “Cruciformity” or conformity to the crucified Christ. Central to the message of Passover and Resurrection is the Crucified Christ and believers are invited as Dietrick Bonhoeffer “a bid to come and die”. Believers are called to the crucified life.

As we approach Passover while we are in the midst of a pandemic, God is inviting us to embrace the revelation of Christ our Passover.  It is in the fellowship of His death that we can just as Jacob limp into the dawn of a New Day.

The ancient path of discipleship must be restored, so the Body of Christ can walk in the reality of what it means to be a co-heir with Christ as sons of God. Pioneers are emerging as repairers of the breach and restorers of ancient paths.
