J. W. Kitson is a veteran teacher with thirty years of experience. Having spent most of his career teaching junior high and college students, he has earned various distinguished teacher and service awards, and has traveled from coast to coast, presenting at numerous educational and technology conferences.

An ordained pastor for nearly twenty-five years, he has also written several inspirational publications regarding Christian apologetics, including Do Christians Have an Identity Crisis? He has also written local biographies about citizens in his community. In addition to his home church, Grace Bible Church, he preaches for other area congregations, and he runs a young men’s Bible study through the Internet.

Kitson has co-produced several faith-based movies with Menning Films, an award-winning company. These films include the following: Unwavering and Gateway to Hope: Overcoming Heroin (for which Josh Menning was nominated as Best-Director at the International Christian Film and Music Festival in 2019). Menning Films and Kitson teamed up to film a major motion picture based on Kitson’s award-winning novel, Song of the Tree Frogs. He is associated with Talent Group (modeling and acting) out of Pittsburgh, PA, and he has been featured in several film projects such as Beast of Our Fathers (Menning Films); he assisted with the production team, as well as the actor for the role of Adult Michael in Song of the Tree Frogs; and he is featured on two book covers (including Song of the Tree Frogs and People from the Lake, both written by J.W. Kitson). He also had a lead role (Jim) in Best Years Gone, directed by Shane Hagedorn. Matthew also has a lead role in Love One Another, alongside Cameron Arnett (Overcomer), Karen Abercrombie (War Room), Candace Kirkpatrick (Vindication), and Eric Hanson (The Challenger Disaster). Matthew was featured in a short film for the Greenford Christian Church in Ohio, one of the nation's top 100 fastest growing churches. He has worked with other Christian film stars such as Shannen Fields (Facing the Giants), Meggie Jenny (The Last Defense), Richard Cutting (Order of Rights), and Cameron McKendry (I’m Not Ashamed).

An avid weight trainer, Matthew also keeps himself busy with friends and family. He is also pursuing his degree in college in the health field. Matthew has trained with veteran actress Tina Gallo, and he is certainly one of the up-and-coming film stars to watch for in many future projects.
