This week, we continue our journey through Acts 11, where we see a powerful moment in the life of the early Church—the place where believers were first called Christians. In this passage, we’re reminded that God is reorienting how we see ourselves.

These believers turned from their old ways and were publicly known as followers of Jesus. This wasn't just private faith; it was visible and unmistakable.

Scripture tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV): “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” This new identity isn't just a label—it’s a calling. You may believe in Christ, but are you being identified with Him?

In Acts 10, we witness two powerful conversions: Cornelius, a Roman centurion hungry for truth, and Peter, a disciple in need of a deeper understanding of grace.

Cornelius had status, power, and devotion — he feared God with all his household — but he still hadn’t met Jesus. Meanwhile, Peter, the preacher, needed a change of heart to see that the gospel is for everyone. When these two worlds collide, God makes it clear: no one is out of reach, and He’ll do whatever it takes to get the gospel to your ears.

This is a story of practical grace, of renewed minds and hearts, and of radical obedience. The Holy Spirit is on the move — our job is to say yes. Prayer: God, what is it I need to say yes to?

Many of us are searching for peace and contentment in all the wrong places, only to find our minds still in chaos. This message explores three ways to find lasting peace as we study Acts 9:19-31:

1. Peace in Purpose – Like Paul, whose identity shifted when he embraced God’s calling, we find peace when we live in alignment with the purpose God has given us. What are you most passionate about? When you know your why, adversity can’t shake your peace.

2. Peace in People – We’re not meant to walk alone. Honest vulnerability and a strong community can anchor us when life gets overwhelming. When things get heightened, your community should get tightened.

3. Peace in Persistence – James 1:12 reminds us there’s blessing for those who remain steadfast. Peace isn’t just offered once—it’s received moment by moment as we keep our minds stayed on the Lord.

If you don’t know where to find peace, chaos will find you. But peace is available to all who believe in Jesus—will you receive it?

In a world full of division and quick judgments, it’s easy to see life through a limited and often distorted lens. In Acts 9:1–19, we witness Saul’s radical transformation—a man who once persecuted the church but encountered Jesus and saw everything differently. Here’s how we can shift our perspective and see with spiritual clarity.

1. Look at who you were – Don’t forget the grace that rescued you.

2. Look at who He is – God is sovereign, all-powerful, and unchanging.

3. Look at what He’s doing in you – Trust the refining work of sanctification.

4. Look at what He’s doing through you – Be willing to be used for His purpose.

Philip didn’t hesitate—God spoke, and he went. Obedience is the true measure of impact. Your turn might not come on a stage, but in the desert or a chariot—wherever God sends you. Don't camp out in comfort. Go.

3. Are You Still Running?

It’s not about how fast you run but whether you’re running the right race. Stop resisting and start responding. Like the eunuch, transformation begins with obedience.

It’s your turn—to listen, to go, to obey.
