Charlie Platt is a fifteen-year-old boy with cerebral palsy, a loner that likes to draw superheroes. Just about everyone at his school picks on him, calls him Charlie Splat. His only true friend is his next-door neighbor, Maggie (Mags) McGee, a tomboy a year younger than Charlie.

One day while at a routine doctor’s appointment he is accidentally given a serum intended for adult test subjects to help cure cerebral palsy, but this particular serum had mistakenly been radiated from being too near uranium meant for an atom bomb being brought into the city by terrorists.

With the mutated serum in his blood, Charlie starts to feel stronger. But when he gets put under stress, he then mutates into Captain Phenom; a super strong, super fast hero for the people. He sets out to get even with the bullies that have made his life hell, but when he learns of the terrorist threat to the city, he has a new objective.

This episode of LIVE! Is brought to you by: Rise of the Syndicate by Drew Avera

Can one death save humanity?

Five-hundred years after colonizing Mars, a new challenge arises, the largest global terraforming project in history. As the World Council seeks financing to invest in technology that could replace the Archean colony’s giant dome habitat with an artificial atmosphere, some members stand in opposition. Unfortunately, those resisting the coming change do so at their own detriment.

Following the murder of his wife, Halem Scrimpshire is on a path for vengeance. Framed for her death, Halem believes Marada’s prominent opponent, Councilman Tetrim Rine conspired against her, leading to her untimely death. But the clock is ticking for him to prove his theory before justice falls on him.

If Halem’s wrong, he goes down for murder. If he’s right, he may discover a sinister plot that will alter his future, and that of the Martian colonies as well.

Rise of the Syndicate is set in the same universe as Drew Avera's bestselling Dead Planet series.

This episode of LIVE! Is brought to you by: Make Me No Grave by Hayley Stone

Marshal Apostle Richardson faces off against bloodthirsty outlaws, flesh witches, ruthless vigilantes, and more in this gritty, magical re-imagining of the Old West.

Almena Guillory, better known as the Grizzly Queen of the West, has done plenty to warrant the noose, but US Marshal Apostle Richardson enforces the law, he doesn't decide it. When a posse tries to lynch Almena ahead of her trial, Apostle refuses their form of expedited justice - and receives a bullet for his trouble. Almena spares him through the use of dangerous flesh magic but escapes soon after saving him.

Weeks later, Apostle fears the outlaw queen has returned to her old ways when she's spotted terrorizing Kansas with a new gang in tow. When cornered, however, Almena makes a convincing case for her innocence and proposes a plan to take the real bandits down. Working with a known killer opens Apostle up to all sorts of trouble, not the least being his own growing attraction toward the roguish woman. Turning Almena away from vengeance may be out of the question, but if he doesn't try, she'll wind up right where the law wants her: at the end of a rope.

And if Apostle isn't careful, he'll end up joining her.

If you like Red Dead Redemption and Lila Bowen's Wake of Vultures, you'll love this gun-blazing weird Western.

"A marvelously written tale, with a unique voice, strong characters, and a well-structured plot that paid off in spades in the end." (Joe Nassise, New York Times best-selling author of the Templar Chronicles)
