The 50th Anniversary of Campus Life of Lincoln is the occasion for a new Public Art Project. Proposals from nearly 100 artists have been accepted, and each will soon begin creating the design they submitted for a six foot pair of hands, made of fiberglass.

The downtown Lincoln Museum has two current exhibits, with one scheduled to close after this weekend and another opening soon.

The Foundation For Lincoln Public Libraries will hold its annual Book Sale in mid-October. They're looking for Volunteers willing to work at the sale. Proceeds from the sale are used for the benefit of the libraries.
