Over 4 dozen sculptures are on display throughout Lincoln saluting the Spirit Of Service displayed by residents of the City. Final preparations are being made for an upcoming auction.

Four Artists in Residence will be available to meet the public, talk about their work, and reveal details of their artistic practices.

The annual event, sponsored by the Noyes Gallery, will be held this coming Saturday, September 14, at the Sunken Gardens.

The group provides financial support to the University of Nebraska Opera program and numerous local activities that enhance appreciation for Opera in the State. They're staging a membership drive and planning the coming years activities

The Lincoln Community Playhouse will open its season #74 with a show featuring the music of Johnny Cash. The show will also feature brief autobiographical quotes and references, and the set is modeled on Cash's boyhood home in Arkansas.

Lincoln's newest Hotel, the boutique Kindler Hotel at 11th and P, is named after and influenced by the late Lincoln artist Ken Kindler.

The Band will present its pre-season exhibition this Friday night at Memorial Stadium. Highlights will include the traditional pre-game show, the half time show music for the first game, and the annual drill-down.

This Sunday afternoon, the Lux Center will offer free family friendly art activities during its annual Summerfest.

This year's Fair will feature an expanded lineup of concerts, and different bundling of tickets.

The final concert of the season will salute military veterans with patriotic and march tunes, and the themes of each branch of the armed services.
