Background: This documentary was recorded in Middleburg Correctional Centre of Excellency, through a permission by the Department of Correctional Services regionally. We were able to record about 3 subjects with different stories and backgrounds; two at the above mentioned female correctional facility and one at Bethal Correctional Services facility.

SUBJECT: A lady named ‘Dolly ‘(pseudo name) was sentenced for 12 years for being an accomplice in a statutory rape case of her 14 year old younger sister. This happened after she fell in love with a man who lured her to a bogus relationship, with an intention to fulfil the so –called “ancestral spiritual quest “that he possessed. Dolly was made to agree with every intention of her ‘boyfriend ‘from abandoning her luxurious job as an artisan in one the coal mines, to be one many wives that this man had. After allowing her “ husband “ to take her younger sisters to be his wives , the 14 year old got pregnant .An escape to Lesotho where Dolly’s husband was from , was organized by the couple . Ultimately they were both arrested and incarcerated in different prisons. Dolly was pregnant then, got a child in prison , frustrated by communication breakdown with her “ lover “ who was no longer picking her calls , mind you , they were in constant contact right behind the prison walls . As she told her story finally she was free after joining a prayer group in prison and while reflecting, in her narration she felt like she was living in a trance. While in prison she studied and became a tutor and a preacher. She then advices all young women to be vigilant and thoroughly examine and make research before they enter into any intimate relationship.
