Enter Pearl Street Bagels, a social hub of Wilson, Wyoming, any morning of the week and you'll see a mature gentleman sporting one of his many fantastic hats. Typically, he's deeply engaged in conversation about opera, films, economics, writing, politics, or whatever he fancies that day. He's been in and out of Jackson Hole since 1955 when he moved here to be the first marketing director of the Mountain Resort. I consulted him on growing up in the Circus, how to choose a career, what makes a romantic relationship work, the guilt and inadequacy we all sometimes experience, having friends that aren't just like you, and the yoga of growing older.
