    The Wort Hotel was established in 1941. Before that, Charles Wort used the plot of land as a livery stable and gas station. The historic hotel has won numerous awards and their Silver Dollar Bar draws visitors and locals alike. We talked with General Manager Jim Waldrop about what makes the hotel so iconic and all that's in store for their Diamond Anniversary.

  • KHOL - Vertical Harvest Changes Urban Farming in Jackson Hole
    Vertical Harvest is the a flagship urban farm that enriches the community by growing fresh produce, year round in Jackson Hole. Vertical Harvest will host their opening Ceremony on Thursday May 26th beginning at 10:30am. It will open with speeches from Governor Matt Mead and Mayor Sara Flitner as well as a street fair featuring local food, crafts, and music from KHOL DJs.

    What does it take to become an entrepreneur in Jackson Hole? Both Scott Fitzgerald and Brian Cousins can answer from experience. They joined us on behalf of Silicon Couloir, a non-profit that supports, educates, and connects entrepreneurs.
    Every year they host "Pitch Day", where a handful of entrepreneurs are selected and coached in the months leading up to the event, which is on August 10th this year. We talked to local artist Steven Glass about his exhibition "Big Year of Weird" on display at the Center Theater Gallery in Center for the Arts now through mid-June. The show features colorful paint on surfaces like melanine, vinyl, and wood.
