    Dr. Petr Janata is a cognitive neuroscientist and Professor in the UC Davis Pyschology Department and Center for Mind and Brain. He uses musical structure to analyze behavioral and brain data. He talked with us about music-evoked memories, nostalgia, being "in the groove" with music, and using music to improve quality of life for Alzheimer's patients.
    He will give a Lunchtime Learning talk at Teton County Library on March 16th at noon presented by the Grand Teton Music Festival and St. John's Medical Center.

  • KHOL - Astoria Hot Springs Project Gains Momentum
    Astoria Hot Springs was once a popular destination for Jackson residents. The Trust for Public Land is working to restore the property into a year-round riverfront park and they've recently chosen a firm to design the project. Jackson Hole Public Art has been working with local students kids to help brainstorm how to transform Astoria Hot Springs Park into a public space as well as create projects honoring its history.

Earl Shane Ward is a Jackson native who skied at Teton Village the first year it opened, as an elementary school student. He now works as the Trail Grooming Manager for JHMR. Depending on conditions, his crew grooms up to 400 acres of terrain per night.

  • Wyofile - End of the Trail for Yellowstone Bison
    Angus Thuermer of the non-profit, online news source Wyofile joined us to talk about keeping potentially infected bison off public grazing land north of Yellowstone National Park. Each year, the Park Service captures 150 bison to be slaughtered. Montana ranchers don't want their livestock to be infected with brucellosis, but advocates for the bison find the culling unjust.
