    Senior Avian Educator Becky Collier joined us from the Teton Raptor Center, a non-profit dedicated to helping birds of prey through education, conservation and rehabilitation. We talked about why the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is a unique place to study owls, their most "ninja" adaptations, and why Becky spends her time working with birds of prey and educating the public.
    There is an event on Tuesday, March 8th called "An Evening with Owls" at the Teton County Library at 6pm featuring the three resident owls from the center.

  • KHOL - San Fermin
    San Fermin (pronounced FUR-MEEN) is an 8-piece baroque pop band out of Brooklyn that has opened for the likes of Alt-J, The Arctic Monkeys, The National, and St. Vincent. We talked with Ellis Ludwig-Leone, who started the project as a solo endeavor on his computer after studying music composition at Yale. He had no idea it would grow into a full, touring band with two acclaimed albums under their belts.

    Mark Jenkins and 5 other athletes were sent by the North Face and National Geographic to summit Hkakabo Razi, said to be the tallest peak in Myanmar. They encountered countless setbacks and challenges in their quest to measure its exact altitude. We talked about what it was like to see the summit and turn back, why it's worth continuing a sport that brings you to the edge of death, his writing process, and why growing up in Wyoming had an influence on his path to becoming a mountaineer.
    Mark will speak on Sunday March 6th at the National Museum of Wildlife Art at 5:30pm during a presentation made possible by the University of Wyoming's Center for Global Studies, the Wyoming Humanities Council, and Interconnections 21.

    The Seventh Fire is a film that follows Rob Brown, a former Native American gang leader on a remote Minnesota reservation. In it, he must confront his role in bringing violent drug culture into his beloved Ojibwe community.
    We spoke with Rob Brown and Executive Producer Lonnie Anderson about the film as well as Jeremy Pague from the InterTribal Winter Sports Summit happening here in Jackson. The film will play as the closing event for the Summit on Saturday, February 27th at 7pm in the Pink Garter Theater.
