Joe joins the Kickasspirational Podcast to give us an update on the COVID-19 virus from his POV in Holland, Michigan—what’s going on now, what’s been working to contain the virus and where we have opportunities to learn and improve.

We also discuss the intricacies of being Dutch-Frisian Americans, national and global healthcare politics and a few other topics that might surprise you.

Who doesn’t want a Kickasspirational Easter Egg? Jon Freeman hosts SURFER Magazine’s Ultra Core Surf Hourhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2vTdkld_H0 and has managed to wait until his 40’s to navigate social media surf stardom. The production team voted and decided that we’d push out one of our most entertaining episodes over the Passover/Easter holiday as a special gift.

If you don’t follow @jonathanwaynefreeman on Instagram, you’re missing out and in for a treat. He broke out as an social media comedian in mid-life, still holds down a full-time job as a paramedic and appears to navigate family life well—he has a wife who appears to give him a long leash and two great kiddos.

We cover how he broke out, the rules of surfing and who wrote them, how to manage trolls, curious questions about alternative realities and juggling a job, family and the demands of a grueling celebrity career.

Special thanks to Pat Parnell and Curious Gabe Sullivan for help with some special questions. We are also implementing new tech, a new speed round of questions that only a true waterman could answer. Worth a listen for sure.

It’s unclear what the total impact of COVID-19 will be, how long the quarantines will last and what will become the new normal.

What we do know is that right now we must behave differently to not only survive the pandemic but to thrive and grow ourselves, our families, our communities and our livelihoods during this difficult period.

Brent Willis developed the disciplines to lead in a crisis through his training at West Point, his leadership in the Army and the aggressive global growth he created at major companies and brands while the youngest president at Coca Cola and his leadership at Stella Artois/AmBev.

Now as the CEO of NewAge (NBEV on NASDQ), the fastest growing beverage company in the world, Brent joins the Kickasspirational Podcast to discuss how the company is investing in deeper bonds and faster organic growth with our distributor partners while we expand what it means to truly be an integrated omni channel business.

This COVID-19 crisis is awful. Let’s start there. Given that, what will we do?

Aubrey Marcus is a pioneer of what he calls Total Human Optimization. He has been breaking through the thin veneers of civilization, the constructs that hold many of us back and has written, podcasted and created a $70 million lifestyle company based on his philosophy that provides supplements, fitness equipment, foods and apparel.

This podcast was done remotely on Zoom and we had a little technical difficulty at the beginning that we address later in the episode. We lived the mantra of “failing forward” of “don’t worry, be crappy” and got this out regardless. Maybe it turned out a little better because of it.

If you’re struggling to break through barriers yourself, struggling to deal with the current zeitgeist of fear, uncertainty and doubt and wondering what you can do right now, today, this podcast will belp.

Aubrey Marcus has a website that links to his creative world at: www.aubreymarcus.com
