It was another exciting weekend in the English Premier League, with last season's top three teams only picking up one point between them. Manchester City grabbed a point against Newcastle in a thrilling match in Northern England, while Liverpool and Chelsea struggled against Leeds and Manchester City.

Chelsea and Tottenham last weekend was an early candidate for the game of the season; however, Newcastle and Man City gave them a run for their money on Sunday afternoon. It was a six-goal contest at St James Park, with City comeback from a 3-1 deficit in the second half. On the show, Caroline and Liam talked about the style Newcastle played, De Bruyne showing up in a big way, and Kieran Trippier's free kick and red card.

They also dove into how Leeds United beat Chelsea 3-0 at Ellen Road. Leeds has started the season exceptionally well, while Chelsea has hit a couple of stumbling blocks.

Caroline and Liam also discussed Crystal Palace vs. Aston Villa and their two managers, Manchester United getting their first win of the season over big rivals Liverpool and then quickly went over to Germany to talk about the Bundesliga and Bayern Munich. Arguably the news of the summer emerged this week with Casemiro being linked to Manchester United. We all know the struggles United have gone through in the first two weeks of the season on the field; then add the players they've been trying to attract to the team over the summer, and none of them compares to Casemiro. However, is this a good fit for the Brazilian? Should he be leaving Madrid for a team struggling like United? Caroline and Liam answered those questions on today's episode.

Also, in the new, seven-time Ballon D'or winner, Lionel Messi wasn't nominated for this year's award. Of course, Messi fans are not happy about this decision, but did he deserve to be in the conversation in the first place?

Sticking with Messi and PSG, there's been some drama around Kylian Mbappe and how he reacted during their match on the weekend. It's fair to say there's never a dull moment in Paris.

To end the show, Caroline and Liam looked around Serie A and made predictions on who could win the title in Italy this season.

Welcome back to episode five of Kicked Back with Caroline and Liam! With another Premier League weekend in the wraps, there was plenty to talk about with the London Derby, Liverpool's Monday night clash with Crystal Palace and a historic win for Brentford over Manchester United.

The show starts in London with the Sunday afternoon game between Chelsea and Tottenham. Being gifted a game like this one so early into the new season was a treat and did not disappoint. Chelsea had the game in the palm of their hands but allowed it to slip away at the very end, thanks to a 96th-minute winner from Harry Kane. Many Chelsea supporters are blaming the officiating, but what do you think? Caroline and Liam gave their thoughts on some of the decisions and the rest of the action on the pitch.

After that, Manchester United made the headlines, again, for all the wrong reasons. Erik Ten Haag's starting eleven decisions are now being questioned with players out of position and not being allowed to thrive. The new Manchester United boss brought in his team for an extra practice on Sunday, which had many questioning his methods.

Finally, Liverpool's Darwin Nunez had a controversial start to his career at Anfield, getting sent off for headbutting Joachim Andersen. Liam and Caroline gave their thoughts on the red card and how Liverpool played to start the season.

Also, Liam touched on what he thinks Arsenal can do this season on the show. Then, since the Premier League is celebrating its 30th birthday, they talked about their favourite moments and players during that time.

It is an exciting time for football fans worldwide, with the Premier League, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 getting started last weekend. The enjoyment continues this weekend, with La Liga and Serie A kicking off. However, before the action in Italy and Spain begins, the two UEFA winners from last season, Eintracht Frankfurt and Real Madrid, battled it out for the UEFA Super Cup.

Caroline and Liam broke down the game today on Kicked Back as Real Madrid walked about with their fifth Super Cup and fourth in the last nine years. The two talked about the chemistry between Vini Junior and Karim Benzema and Madrid midfield's trio of Casemiro, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. They closed out the Madrid conversation about Carlo Ancelotti's legacy and where he ranks amongst the GOATs of the game. 

Stepping away from the UEFA Super Cup, a great weekend of games is coming up in the English Premier League. Headlining the weekend ahead is a London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. A battle for a Champions League spot so early in the season.

Also, this weekend is Nottingham Forest's first home Premier League game since 1999. Liam briefly explained their last season in the English top flight. 

They discussed Manchester United fans protesting their owners, Steven Gerrard as the manager of Aston Villa and also the rising of Serie A.

Welcome back to episode two of the Kicked Back with Caroline, Liam and Woz. It was a busy weekend of football with three of the five major leagues kicking off around the world.

Of course, we had to start in England which saw the Premier League come back in scorching hot fashion. Manchester United made the headlines for all the wrong reasons in their first home game of the season against Brighton, Fulham disrupted Liverpool's fun by giving them a tough match at Craven Cottage and Erling Haaland got his scoring account underway. All of that and more was talked about on today's show, along with an outstanding performance from Newcastle United which Liam gloated about.

A little further into Europe, Sadio Mane made his Bundesliga debut for Bayern Munich against the Europa League winners Frankfurt. Well, it couldn't of got of to a better start for Mane scoring his first goal for Bayern in a 6-1 win. On the show, Caroline, Liam and Woz discussed what impact he could have on the Munich lineup and if Bayern can make some news in the Champions League, again.

Also on today's episode, they discussed Robert Lewandowski and the financial situation in Barcelona, the MLS and then quickly on Alphonso Davies.

Welcome to the Kicked Back with Caroline, Liam and special host Woz! Today's show is a get to know us show and we are so excited to get this project on the road. We covered a bunch of content on episode one from our early World Cup predictions to the situation going with Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United.

Caroline gave her reasoning on why she believes Canada could make some noise this winter in Qatar. The skill level is there for the Canadians but do they have enough to compete with the likes of Croatia and Belgium in the group stage? Liam seems to think so as he backed up Caroline's point. Sticking with the World Cup, they spoke about England's chance in the tournament along with Brazil and Argentina.

Also on the show, Liam gave a steaming hot take on something that happened in the 2020 Euros when a certain English goalkeeper was snubbed of an award. He then brought up an interesting question, which tournament is harder to win the World Cup or the Euros?

Finally, they closed out the show talking about Cristiano Ronaldo and what's going to happen with him at United. Woz, the resident Man U fan, gave his take on the situation and on how he's feeling about the upcoming season for the Red Devils.
