All of us have smartphones in our homes- they are nothing less than a mini computer. Many people carry it around all the time. But did you know that there was a time when phones were always connected through a wire? And besides making and receiving phone calls, they could not do anything else.

I’m sure all of us have a television set at home. Some of us may have more than one TV set at home. We use it to watch our favourite shows, movies or to play games. Some of the TV sets are connected to cable networks from where we can watch content from hundreds of channels. Some are connected to streaming services such as Amazon Prime video or Netflix. But, there was a time when there were no TV sets. Yes! No television! I wonder what people used to do then for entertainment? Listen to my brand new episode to find out more.

Indians are crazy about cricket. If you asked anybody what their favorite sport is, the most likely answer would be cricket. Cricket players such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni have a huge fan following and tournaments such as Indian Premier League or the Cricket World Cup have millions of people watching them. A lot of people believe that Cricket is India’s national sport. But, in reality, it is not. Yes, cricket is not India’s national sport.
Find out what sport is India's national sport and why and when it was more popular than cricket.

Happy 75th Independence Day! It is hard to imagine that 75 years ago, India was ruled by another country. I have often heard about freedom fighters but apart from Gandhiji, most children of my age are not aware of others.
In this episode, I will tell you about 5 such men and women and what they did for the country. I was shocked to hear how brave each of them was.

When you want to go shopping or to a restaurant to eat or watch a movie, where do you usually go? A mall? It is very common for families to visit the mall at least once if not more times in a month. Before COVID and lockdowns put us at home, I used to visit the mall a few times a month. But do you know there was a time when there were no malls in India. Yes! No malls at all! So where did people go for shopping and entertainment?

If we have to get from one place to the other, the most reasonable way to do it is by flying. We can choose from different airlines of our choice, book tickets online, check-in online before our flight or at the self-serve counter in the airport and show our boarding pass on the phone.
But, do you know that air travel was not always like this? Back in the day when I was not born there was only one airline in India and many parts of the world! Yes, just one!
