People can be nasty and unkind. It's easy to have thoughts of revenge. Yet God instructs us that if someone slaps you on the right cheek turn to them the other cheek as well. We are told to refrain from retaliation, even of the verbal genre. Some remain silent in order to keep from being rude. Others walk away and still others believe it is best to kill 'em with kindness. However, this notion of overly extending kindness is counter-productive and actually contradicts God's message.
