This week on Killer Kontent, we’re covering three huge crime stories — from an international drug investigation involving a Thai flight attendant, to Sydney’s escalating gangland violence, and the latest extraordinary developments in the Lucy Letby case.

✈️ First, we look at the case of Meena Kondo, the 26-year-old Thai Airways flight attendant arrested at Melbourne Airport after Australian authorities allegedly discovered more than a kilogram of heroin concealed in luggage she was carrying. 

🔫 Then we take a deep dive into Sydney’s Gangland Wars. The violence has taken a frightening turn, with inexperienced young recruits allegedly being hired to carry out shootings and innocent people being killed in cases of mistaken identity.

🇬🇧 And there has been another major development in the Lucy Letby case. The long-awaited Thirlwall Inquiry has delivered its final report, finding there was a “complete failure” to protect babies at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

🇲🇹 We head to Malta and the extraordinary case of investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, who was assassinated by a car bomb in 2017. Businessman Yorgen Fenech, accused of complicity in her murder, has now been acquitted after a two-month trial — a verdict that has caused outrage in Malta and could now be appealed.

🇦🇺 Back in Australia, we revisit one of South Australia’s darkest and most disturbing cold cases — “The Family” murders. Five young males were murdered during the late 1970s and early 1980s, and now relatives of the victims are fighting to have long-suppressed information about suspects made public.

🇺🇸 And there’s been a major development in the Charlie Kirk murder case. A Utah judge has ruled that Tyler Robinson will stand trial for aggravated murder, with prosecutors permitted to pursue the death penalty. Robinson has pleaded not guilty.
