Starting off early in life by learning to choose a nutritional diet is the foundation of a vibrant population. And yet, diabetes is at an epidemic level among Texan children, largely due to uninformed nutritional choices by caregivers. Having access to fresh and healthy food sources is critical to put health back into Texan diets.
