Zoe and Sarah kick off the episode chatting about how their week is going, and celebrate that January is finally over! The month that felt like 5 years! Zoe shares that she is headed off on a girls trip this weekend with a few creator friends and Sarah is heading to a food event for the kick off of Black History Month in Edmonton! Sarah also shares about a treatment she has been doing for her pelvic floor that has helped with her incontinence, IYKYK.

Whats on your FYP:

Zoes FYP is all about Universal Music Group and Tiktok.  UMG has officially pulled all their artist from Tiktok as of Feb 1, which has left millions of videos on the app muted. This can be problematic for creators as you need to go back and add music, as well for as artist because Tiktok was such a vital way for them to get their music out there! And, no more Taylor Swift sounds!!

Sarah's FYP is all Taylor and Travis (TNT) after the Chiefs big division win.  It includes videos of people trying to read their lips and body language.  There are also a ton of videos about the gold and diamond friendship bracelet Travis got her that says TNT on it, their new couple nickname!! 

Sarah and Zoe then go into predicting who will win the Superbowl and different Grammys, cant wait to see if they were right!

The balance of the episode is all about Zoe and Sarah's journey with plus size pregnancy, trying to conscience, labour stories, and their own personal views on their pregnancy experiences.  

This portion is kicked off with Sarah sharing about her long TTC journey, from hopeful trying, to doctors appointments, painful tests, and surgery.  Zoe then shares her experience with pregnancy with both of her children, and shares about losing an ovary prior to getting pregnant with Theo. 

The girls continue on sharing their birth stories, having a baby during Covid, and touch on what postpartum has been like for both of them.  

Zoe and Sarah want to acknowledge that this episode may be difficult to listen to if you are currently dealing with infertility or TTC, and just know that your feelings are valid, and that they are sending you so much love.

Zoe’s FYP has been filled with Barbie controversy since the Oscars. There are tons of videos sharing the irony of only Ryan Gosling (Ken) being nominated for an Oscar, and Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig being completely snubbed! Its like the plot of the movie is unfolding in real life.  Sarah is living in TradWife tiktok, which is currently focused on Balerina Farms who is a TradWife tiktoker.  The controversy surrounds the fact that it has come to light that she married into a very wealthy family, and may not actually be living the TradWife lifestyle. She is also partaking in a beauty pageant 10 days after delivering a baby and the internet has opinions! Shocking!  Zoe and Sarah share their thoughts.

Zoe and Sarah kick off the episode chatting about how cold it has been in both of their areas, talking about the weather, how typically Canadian of them! Sarah shares about her husbands obsession with buying old unreliable cars that not only dont start in the cold, but also lead their neighbors to ask questions about them.  Zoe shares that along with the cold snap January has felt like the longest month in history and is so ready for the month to be over.

Zoe’s FYP is filled with the Kyte baby drama, where a mother who was adopting a child that was born prematurely was denied parental leave, and working remote by a company that specializes in babies! The internet is in an uproar, and the girls shared their opinions on the issue.  

Sarah’s FYP is all about the Illusion bronze drama with makeup influencer Mikayla Nogueria who said she was going to review a product, but then never got around to it, and was called out by the owner of the product.  The girls share their insights and what they think about the drama.

Kinda oversharing about our relationships

The girls kick off the episode with a chat about their dogs and what life is like owning anxious, vocal dogs. Zoe then shares about her morning visit with her mom, and her moms unique fear about their upcoming family trip.  Sarah adds to the mom conversation with sharing about her moms obsession with chairs shortly before she passed away - we really do become our parents don't we!

The girls also touch on 10 year olds at Sephora and their thoughts and opinions on the controversy, sharing both their experiences in retail with younger customers, and their experiences growing up.

Zoe and Sarah start off at the beginning, how they met their partners, how long they have been together, the first chapter.  The girls then go on to cover many topics and about their relationship from their husbands experience with being instagram husbands, to how relationships ebb and flow with the different seasons of kids, and the effects of being the primary caregiver.  Zoe goes into what it was like having a baby during the pandemic and what that did to her and her relationship.  Zoe and Sarah share how it was so important for their family life and relationships to set boundaries around their phones as its so easy to get wrapping up into work with it being so easily accessible.

Episode 2: Kinda over dieting

**Trigger warning - the remainder of this episode talks about Zoe and Sarah’s history with diets, and how they have moved on from diet culture.  

This part of the episode kicks off with Sarah’s experiences on 75 hard and how it affected her relationship with working out.  Zoe shares her first experience with diet culture and starting her first diet at a young age.  

Sarah and Zoe then move into their body changes throughout the years, and share how they both had different experiences when growing up, but both ended up on diets at young ages.  They both share their beliefs on body autonomy, and how at the end of the diet industry is setting us up for failure.  

They briefly get into different diets they have tried, and how these diets left both Sarah and Zoe with very unhealthy fears and harmed relationships with food that took years to overcome.  

Zoe and Sarah touch on filters, how they have used them to appear smaller, how Sarah facetuned herself and her husband, and how there are years in time where every photo of ourselves is highly filtered or facetuned. 

The girls close on what their hopes are for their daughters and for the future when it comes to dieting, body image, and healing any past trauma caused by dieting.

Like most of us Zoe started off just having fun on tiktok but started using the platform, but started to create content that helped her move away from dieting and working towards self love.
