This message is from our Wednesday night service on June 30th, 2021. Most of us approach life with good intentions and the desire to be a good person. So why do we so often fail to grab ahold of the life that we want? Paul explores this idea in Romans 7, and tonight we will look at what it means for us to live in the Spirit instead of by our own desires, and to live out the kind of “good” that God intended for us all along.
This message is from our Wednesday night service on June 23rd, 2021. These words faith, belief, trust...we tend to weave them in and out of conversations somewhat interchangeably, but Paul intends something very specific when he writes about faith in his letter to the Romans. Tonight we discover what it means not just to believe in God, but to believe God when he speaks and when he makes a promise and the difference it makes in our life when we choose to trust him.
This message is from our service on Wednesday, June 16th 2021. We are taking a pause on our dive into the letter in the Bible called Romans in order to celebrate Father’s Day as a church! Being a father is a tough job, and in the crazy world we live in it’s hard to know if we are getting it right. Tonight, we look at some ways that we can be challenged in our parenting, but also to receive grace that we are trying to do our best.
This message is from our Wednesday night service on June 9th, 2021. The Good News is that Jesus has become righteousness on our behalf. The bad news is that people are sinful and ALL have sinned and fallen short of the standard of God. Tonight we will explore what it means to let the Holy Spirit guide us towards taking on Jesus’ way and leaving our own “over-desires” behind.
This message is from our Wednesday night service on June 2nd, 2021. Tonight we begin our look at an ancient letter written to the young church in Rome and what Paul's teaching on righteousness, faith, and the gospel mean for us now in the 21st century.
This message is from our Wednesday night service on May 26th, 2021. When’s the last time you were wrong about someone? Tonight we explore how Peter had to confront old ideas rooted in tradition he’d held on to all his life about God and belonging, and how his story in Acts 10 might challenge us to admit when we’ve got it all wrong.
This message is from our Wednesday night service on May 19th, 2021. Tonight we explore what the sufferings were that we are told Paul had to take on in Acts 9 (see last week’s message, “Flashing Lights”). What were they and why did Paul have to go through them? What does it mean for us in 2021?
This message is from our Wednesday night service on May 12th, 2021. Saul is the leader of a gang of terrorists that are bent on eradicating the Jesus movement. When Jesus himself intervenes from heaven, Saul is forever changed. What can we learn from what happened to him and apply it to how we live everyday in 2021?
This message is from our Wednesday night service on May 5th, 2021. Guest teacher & Board member, Lara Veve, explores three truths that uniquely encourage women and mothers to embrace their God-given identity despite what culture or tradition has led us to believe. In light of being created in the image of God, elevated and included and purposed in the ministry of Jesus himself, and positioned within a sphere of influence, we honor the value of women leading up to Mother's Day.
This message is from our Wednesday night service on April 28th, 2021. Tonight we look at the life and persecution of Stephen, a man of great faith and wisdom, who served as a leader in the early church. His faith inspires us to evaluate the place Jesus holds in our life, and how we might embrace the courage he lived with.
