About Achille Currado

Born and raised in London, Ontario, Achille began his career as a youth worker in a maximum-security facility for young offenders, where he worked for seven years. Driven by a desire to serve his community, he joined the London Police Service in 1998.

Over nearly two decades, he worked as:

• A patrol officer
• In recruiting and training
• Within the detective office as a crime analyst
• In Intelligence
• As a report auditor

These roles gave him a rare, multi-layered perspective on how policing operates from the inside—across culture, hierarchy, power structures, and accountability systems.

I’m Beth Martens—founder of the House of Free Will, pattern hunter, archetype reader, podcaster, author, coach trainer, and  business coach. My calling has truly been a life-or-death matter. After a decade as a corporate VP in my family’s firm, eight transformative trips to India, and a three-year battle with cancer nearly 25 years ago, I turned to archetypes and deep deprogramming work to save my life.

Despite doing everything wrong based on limited health knowledge, I accessed the hidden inner roots of what was keeping me sick, stuck, and unconscious. Letting those patterns go changed everything. I went from dying to living almost overnight.

Today, I help people who love truth more than their beliefs—people who want to serve with their life’s work and walk their Hero’s Journey—to deprogram the beast system from within and stop unconsciously feeding the forces that harm us.

I host the King Hero interview series, where I spotlight leaders, entrepreneurs, movement makers, and lovers of freedom who are carving new paths in a world that desperately needs them. And I also share my own voice, insights, and stories through my new solo podcast, Beth of Fresh Air.

Is corruption the exception… or the rule?

“People assume you fall for a con because you’re naïve.
In reality, you fall because the con aligns with what you already know to be true.”

In this King Hero interview, I’m joined by Achille Currado, whose nearly 20 years in policing gave him a front-row seat to realities most people never see—and few are willing to talk about.

Long before corruption became a public talking point, Achille had already witnessed it firsthand.

During his career, he was exposed to:

• Systemic corruption

• Cultural corruption—where unethical behavior becomes normalized

• Blatant abuse of power

He personally witnessed:

• Careers destroyed for personal and political reasons

• Reputations manipulated behind the scenes

• Criminal acts quietly covered up in the name of “the system”

Over time, a clear pattern emerged:

• Advancement often required compromising one’s morals

• Those who refused to comply became problems

• A deeply entrenched “us vs. them” mentality took hold

Within this culture:

• Officers came to see themselves as above civilians

• Accountability became optional

• Loyalty to the system outweighed loyalty to truth

“That context matters—because cons don’t start with lies. They start with truths.”

In this conversation, we explore how corruption sustains itself not through deception alone, but through alignment with partial truths, cultural conditioning, and unspoken agreements. We’ll look at how systems drift, how good people get caught inside them, and what it takes to see clearly once you’re already in.

This is a grounded, sobering, and deeply human conversation about power, perception, and the cost of integrity.

Bio:

Born and raised in London, Ontario, I began my career as a youth worker in a maximum-security facility for young offenders, where I worked for seven years. Driven by a desire to serve the community, I joined the London Police Service in 1998. Over nearly two decades, I worked as a patrol officer, in recruiting and training, within the detective office as a crime analyst and in Intelligence, and as a report auditor. These experiences offered a unique perspective on how policing operates from the inside.
