King of Glory Lutheran Church is committed to Connecting to God and His People, Growing in Faith and Love and Living through Service and Sharing so that ALL may know the Love of Jesus.  Today we conclude our summer study as we study today’s Lectionary readings Jeremiah 15:15-21, Psalm 26:1-8, Romans 12:9-21 and Matthew 16:21-28.  There some contrasting messages in today’s reading so we study to find the deeper meaning with a more thorough study into God’s Holy Word with addition readings as follows. Getting the Because – Therefore sequence right:

Because I am/intend/do… Therefore God promises to…

Psalm 26:1-8, Jeremiah 15, Romans 12, Matthew 16:27, Matthew 25:31-46 and Exodus 19:5-6

Because God acts/does… Therefore I am/intend/do

Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 12:1-21

This study was led by Pastor Phil Kuehnert.  There will be no Bible study the next two Sunday and then we will begin our fall/winter studies on September 24 which will be held each Sunday at 9:30 am and 11 am in room 309.

King of Glory Lutheran Church is committed to Connecting to God and His People, Growing in Faith and Love and Living through Service and Sharing so that ALL may know the Love of Jesus.  Today we conclude our summer study on Mark and today’s study is led by Pastor Adam Hengst.  Today we studied the Resurrection of Jesus by first comparing and reconciling the differences in the account recorded in Mathew 28, Luke 24 and John 20-21 and then we examined Mark 16 which also records the resurrection.

We will conclude our summer Bible studies next Sunday when we study the lectionary and then no Bible study the following two Sundays and then on Sunday September 24 we begin all new series of Bible studies which will be held each Sunday at 9:30 am and 11 am in room 309.

Kittelson.    Part one of this series occurred on July12, today, on August 9,  we discuss chapters 4-10 and today, August 23, we will conclude this study as we discuss chapters 11-18.  Our study today was led by Pastor Adam Hengst.

For the rest of the summer, we offer a Bible study every Sunday at 9:30 am in room 309 and will add an additional opportunity for Bible study at 11:00 am starting on September 24, however, next Sunday there is a congregational cluster meeting at 9:30am so there will be no Bible study.
