Kittelson.  This is part one in which we covered the first three chapters and we get a good understanding of Luther and his parent’s background, their beliefs and the challenges that the people faced and struggled with in those times.  Part two of this series will continue on August 9 when we will discuss chapters 4-10 and on August 23 we will conclude this study when we discuss chapters 11-18.  Our study today was led by Pastor Adam Hengst.

King of Glory Lutheran Church is committed to Connecting to God and His People, Growing in Faith and Love and Living through Service and Sharing so that ALL may know the Love of Jesus.  Today we continue our summer study on Mark and today’s study is led by Pastor Warren Winterhoff and we look at Mark 7 with our focus on Jesus’ teachings and interactions with those he encounters.  Pastor Winterhoff also shared a handout that showed that all the Old Testament commandments from God are repeated in the New Testament with the exception of number 3, Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.  In the New Testament there is no command to observe any particular day.  The command is to worship (Matt. 4:10), and read, hear, believe and keep God’s Word, Luke 11:28.

Our Wednesday Bible study will now go on summer break but will resume again on September 13.  Our regular Sunday morning studies will continue through the summer.

We offer a Bible study every Sunday at 8:10 am and again at 9:30 am in room 309.

King of Glory Lutheran Church is committed to Connecting to God and His People, Growing in Faith and Love and Living through Service and Sharing so that ALL may know the Love of Jesus.   As part of our continuing discipleship focus at King of Glory Lutheran Church, we continue our Growing Point studies and today we had a combination worship service/Bible study on the eve of Ascension Day.  This week’s study was led by Pastor Bill Harmon as we studied Acts1:6-11, Psalm 110 and Romans 8:34. 

We will next Wednesday, May 31, and then will end our mid-week studies until we begin again in the fall.  Our regular Sunday morning studies will continue through the summer.
