We'd hoped it would be big.  For the sake of the students and staff who poured their hearts and talents into it, we were praying that the reception for I Witness would honor their efforts.

God answered those prayers!  I Witness--the story of a group of high school students who go back in time, via virtual reality, to Bethany in the first century--has been blowing up literally all over the country!  And, to date, nearly two dozen countries outside the U.S.!

So, today, Geoff and the podcast's mastermind, Chris Zimmerman of Red Five Media, sit down to discuss the viral podcast and ask some looming questions...

Marietta Wright's earliest memories are framed by tragedy and trauma. 

Wright vividly recollects that, when she was a child living in Holland, Nazis worked to exterminate Jews that she counted as friends and neighbors.  Her parents hid the Jewish members of their community within their home--and in so doing became the targets of Nazi hostilities.

What motivated the Wright family to risk life and livelihood to defend their neighbors?  Where did the strength come from to confront evil?  How did Marietta find it in her heart to forgive the atrocities that she came to see as part of her daily existence?

Today's powerful Kingdom Culture Conversation follows a special chapel at Northwest Christian School in which the 85-year-old Marietta Wright told her story to 6th through 12th grade students.  Following the chapel, students compiled a list of questions that they had for Mrs. Wright.  And, in today's Kingdom Culture Conversation, Marietta answers those questions.

This year, Phoenix played host to the NCAA final-four and the NCAA national collegiate championship basketball game.  The events brought tens-of-thousands of basketball fanatics to town.

As well, two Jesus fanatics.

With backgrounds steeped in the game of basketball, Randy Shepherd and Jaime Johnson put their b-ball talents and passion for the game on the alter before the Lord and asked Him to use their abilities for the glory of God and the Gospel.  The end result was a phenomenal partnership and a thriving international ministry that has seen them globetrot in pursuit of lives changed.

Debbie Yee is a force of nature!  She serves Northwest Christian School in so many capacities, it's difficult to keep track.  She's charging forward in school academic initiatives like the ACSI Regional Speech Meet or the NCS Math Olympiad team.  She writes grant proposals to non-profit foundations on behalf of the school.  On any given day--most days, in truth--she is the substitute teacher that fills in within a classroom on a moment's notice.  And, as cornerstone to all of that, she's a mom and a pastor's wife.

Wow.

As you will hear discussed in today's Kingdom Culture Conversation, there are a host of theological issues that our foundational to the Christian faith.  Conversely, there are other issues that, while important, are not as pressing as others.

Some issues represent prerequisites to salvation.  Others represent preferences.

But, as our student question goes today, where does baptism lie?  Is it a necessary point in the journey towards eternity with Christ?  Or, is it simply a point along the journey we all take in pursuit of Christ.

The difference may seem subtle.  But does eternity hang in the balance?
