Scott Hord started his career in youth ministry. Serving as a pastor in the Pacific Northwest, he worked for years with junior high and senior high school students. But, somewhere along the way, his care and concern for the wellbeing of students led him down a hard path. For the last fifteen years, he's worked within Christian Family Care, a foster care agency, licensed in the state of Arizona. In that time, he's seen a lot, learned a lot.
Now, he's committed to taking the things that he's learned and experienced and putting handles on those lessons. He's leading the charge to commit a vast amount of parental training on a new online portal for parents--whether they are invested in foster care or not.
Today, in the second part of a two-part conversation with Scott, you will hear his story and wrestle with some of the cold hard facts of child abuse and neglect. But, you will also learn about Family Care Learning and the road that leads from ruin, through reconciliation, to restoration.
