Having just recently finished a new Kingdom Culture Conversations podcast tradition--"The 12 Days of Christmas"--we're gearing up to start another new podcast tradition, "Throwback Thursday".

Going back to the summer of 2016, long before there was a "Kingdom Culture Conversations" podcast or the Frameworks Biblical worldview initiative, each summer, Northwest Christian School produced a series of weekly videos that stretched through each summer.  These teaching videos were based on the summer reading for that particular summer:  sometimes a passage of scripture or a book centered around Biblical worldview.  As part of this new tradition, we're pulling the audio from those videos and revisiting some of the key worldview concepts that we explored during that time.

In today's debut Throwback Thursday, we'll enjoy hearing a brief conversation between Mr. Brown and Russ Miller, an author and creation apologist based in northern Arizona. 

Russ is also the Subject Matter Expert for a popular Frameworks course, available to public, private, charter, online, and home high school students for credit, "Creation and Biblical Worldview".

Jim Palmer is an engineer by trade but a truly courageous adventurer at heart.  With a career in aerospace at Honeywell, he has been deeply invested in private and military aerospace contract work, including support of NASA in several projects.  But, on the side, he has worked as part of search and rescue teams, wildland firefighting, emergency medical transport, and the like.

But, the adventure that has captured his heart more than any other is exploring the beauty of God's creation through astronomy.  In today's Kingdom Culture Conversation with Jim, he reflects on all of this--but the most salient point of the episode comes when our attention turns to Psalm 19, "The heavens declare the glory of God..."

In our final Kingdom Culture Conversation of the year, once more we are joined by Summit Ministries author Roger Erdvig.  As part of a 2021 year-in-review, Roger and Geoff discuss a recently published report from the Barna Research Group:  "State of the Bible, 2021:  Five Key Findings".  Within a day and age in which our culture seems to be in chaos, what are the public perceptions and expressed opinions of God's word?  Is the Bible and the Godly wisdom that is presents being dismissed and forgotten by a growing number of people who are abandoning objective truth in favor a relativism?

As the end of the 2021 calendar year approaches, it is customary, and healthy, to look back at the year and reflect on how well we are performing within the roles and responsibilities that the Lord has put before us.  Today's Kingdom Culture Conversation is an opportunity for the Northwest Christian and Frameworks community to do just that.

Roger Erdvig's "Beyond Biblical Integration", published by Summit Ministries, the leading purveyor of Biblical worldview resources and curriculum, was released in 2020 and has since become a road sign for families and schools attempting to navigate towards true Biblical worldview.  In November of 2021, Northwest Christian School invited the author to campus to visit classrooms and provide a snapshot assessment of how the school is performing in its stated mission to "provide a Bible-based program of education that enables students to develop a Christian worldview."  Today, Roger and Geoff discuss those observations and identify areas of strength and opportunity for the school.
