Breaking Free from the Old Gods: The Spiritual War Behind the World System | KIB545

Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

DESCRIPTION

What if many things modern believers consider normal are actually remnants of a world system from which Christ has called us to separate?

In Kingdom Intelligence Briefing Episode 545, Dr. Michael Lake and Mary Lou Lake examine the continuing spiritual battle between the Kingdom of God and the systems of this world. Beginning with the influence of ancient Greek and Roman culture and moving deeply into the Apostle Paul's teaching in Ephesians, this episode challenges the Remnant to recognize just how thoroughly the ways of the old world can become embedded in culture, religion, education, tradition, and everyday life.

Dr. Lake focuses particularly on Ephesians 2:1–3, where Paul describes three interconnected dimensions of humanity's former bondage: the world, the devil, and the flesh. But Paul does not leave believers there. Christ has been raised above every ruler and authority, and those who belong to Him have been called into an entirely different Kingdom and way of life.

This leads directly into the spiritual warfare of Ephesians 6.

The believer's struggle is not merely against bad ideas, political systems, cultural movements, or human opponents. Paul identifies principalities, authorities, cosmic powers over this present darkness, and spiritual forces of evil. The enemy continually schemes to entangle believers in the very system from which Christ delivered them.

That makes TRUTH indispensable.

The armor of God does not begin with emotionalism, religious excitement, or spiritual spectacle. It begins with the belt of truth. Dr. Lake explains why believers cannot merely SAY that they are putting on the armor of God. The armor must become a lived spiritual reality through obedience, sanctification, prayer, faith, and the renewing of the mind through the Word of God.

This episode also examines:

· The continuing influence of Greek and Roman religious ideas on Western civilization

· Ancient gods, principalities, and the spiritual warfare behind human systems

· Why Paul was uniquely prepared to confront Greco-Roman culture with biblical truth

· Ephesians 2:1–3 and the world, the flesh, and the prince of the power of the air

· Why Christ's authority is greater than every principality and power

· How cultural traditions can pull believers back toward the world system

· Why true biblical Christianity will never comfortably conform to darkness

· The spiritual meaning of the armor of God

· Why spiritual warfare is an ongoing wrestling match

· Emotionalism versus genuine conversion and transformation

· Why forgiveness is essential in breaking the enemy's influence

· Torah as the loving instruction of God

· Jesus as the perfect example of walking in the Father's ways

· The brazen laver, the altar, and becoming a living sacrifice

· Why the Remnant must learn again to discern clean from unclean and good from evil

· How believers can begin disentangling themselves from the world system one decision at a time

The early Church could not be conquered by persecution because believers possessed the Scriptures, the testimony of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Dr. Lake argues that abandoning the biblical foundations of the faith has left much of the modern Church unable to discern good from evil and vulnerable on the spiritual battlefield.

The answer is not fear.

The answer is a return to God.

Every time we choose God's ways instead of the ways of the world, another strand connecting us to the world system is broken. Every act of obedience removes another avenue through which darkness attempts to influence our lives.

The Kingdom of God is coming.

Daniel 2:44 declares that God will establish a Kingdom that will never be destroyed.

Revelation 11:15 announces:

"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever."

And that Kingdom can begin reigning within the hearts and lives of God's people RIGHT NOW.

The Remnant must prepare.

It is time to hunger for the Word of God again.

It is time to learn His ways.

It is time to recognize the schemes of the enemy.

It is time to become disentangled from the world system.

And it is time to walk as citizens of the Kingdom of God.

DESCRIPTION

Biblical leadership and spiritual warfare were never meant to be separated.

From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture repeatedly connects godly authority with the responsibility to guard, protect, preserve, and advance what God has established.

In this powerful Biblical Life teaching, Dr. Michael Lake examines a truth the modern Church desperately needs to recover:

Every legitimate biblical leader is called to stand under God's authority—and biblical authority carries with it the responsibility to resist darkness.

The shepherd's staff provides a powerful picture of this principle. It steadies the leader's walk, guides those who follow, and can become a weapon when the flock is threatened.

That pattern begins in Genesis.

Adam was commissioned to exercise dominion, guard what God entrusted to him, and extend God's order throughout the earth. Yet the spiritual conflict was already underway. Leadership was necessary precisely because there was something that needed to be guarded.

This principle continues throughout Scripture.

· Noah protected humanity through obedience.

· Abraham defended the covenant family.

· Moses confronted Pharaoh.

· Joshua led Israel against the corruption of Canaan.

· David defended Israel from its enemies.

· Nehemiah rebuilt Jerusalem while preparing the people to fight.

And Jesus Christ—the perfect Shepherd, Leader, and Warrior—came "doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil" (Acts 10:38).

The modern Church has often separated leadership from spiritual warfare. The result has been weakened families, passive believers, exhausted pastors, confused authority structures, and Christians who have never been taught how to stand their ground spiritually.

That must change.

Dr. Lake examines how biblical leadership establishes God's order, while spiritual warfare protects it.

You will discover why:

· Leadership begins with submission to God's authority.

· The home is one of the first places biblical leadership must operate.

· Husbands and wives were designed to function together under God's order.

· Spiritual warfare did not begin in Genesis 3—the conflict was already present in Genesis 1.

· Adam was commissioned to rule, guard, and preserve what God entrusted to him.

· The shepherd's staff symbolizes both leadership and warfare.

· Satan consistently targets leaders because destroying leadership scatters those under its protection.

· The fivefold ministry carries specific responsibilities in the spiritual conflict.

· Truth, holiness, prayer, obedience, discernment, and forgiveness are powerful weapons of biblical leadership.

· Spiritual authority grows as believers themselves submit to the authority of Christ.

· The name of Jesus must govern us before we presume to exercise His authority against the enemy.

One of the most important principles in this teaching is simple:

· Because I am under authority, I can move in authority.

· Spiritual authority is not bravado.

· It is not yelling at demons.

· It is not religious theatrics.

It flows from submission to Jesus Christ, obedience to the Word of God, holiness, covenant faithfulness, and a life increasingly governed by the character of Christ.

The days ahead will require believers who know how to lead themselves, protect their households, discern deception, stand on biblical truth, and resist the kingdom of darkness.

It is time to take up the shepherd's staff again. It is time to LEAD. It is time to GUARD. It is time to STAND. And when necessary, it is time to FIGHT.

The Bible is not merely a devotional book. It is also a war book.

And God is preparing His remnant to understand how biblical leadership and spiritual warfare function together.

True Biblical Worship vs. Strange Fire: What Does God Really Want? | KIB 543

DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Kingdom Intelligence Briefing Episode #543 with Dr. Michael Lake and Mary Lou Lake.

What does God actually desire from those who worship Him?

Modern Christianity often defines worship primarily through music, singing, emotional experiences, and church services. But Scripture presents something far deeper. True biblical worship is not merely an event we attend—it is a covenant lifestyle of reverence, obedience, holiness, truth, thanksgiving, humility, service, repentance, and wholehearted devotion to God.

In this episode, Dr. Michael Lake examines the biblical theology of worship from both the Old and New Testaments. Psalm 24 reveals the necessity of clean hands and a pure heart, while Jesus declares that the Father is seeking those who will worship Him "in spirit and truth."

This teaching also confronts a serious problem within modern Christianity: worship can become religious performance while the believer's daily life remains disconnected from God.

Scripture reveals that obedience itself is worship. Holiness is worship. Serving others can become worship. Thanksgiving is worship. Repentance restores true fellowship with God. Even studying Scripture to discover what pleases God becomes an expression of devotion to Him.

Dr. Lake also examines Cain, Nadab and Abihu, Saul, Uzziah, and Israel's golden calf to demonstrate a sobering biblical principle: sincerity does not give humanity the authority to redefine worship. God determines how He is to be worshiped.

The episode concludes with a warning that much of contemporary worship risks producing "strange fire" rather than Christlikeness—and a call for the Remnant to return to worship that transforms the worshiper and exalts God alone.

IN THIS EPISODE:

• Why worship is a lifestyle rather than an event

• What it means to worship God in spirit and truth

• The Hebrew and Greek concepts behind biblical worship

• Why obedience is an act of worship

• Why God requires holiness from His worshipers

• The relationship between thanksgiving, praise, and worship

• Why biblical study itself can become an act of devotion

• How religious performance can replace genuine worship

• Why worship must remain God-centered rather than man-centered

• Cain, Nadab and Abihu, Saul, Uzziah, and unauthorized worship

• The danger of "strange fire" in the modern Church

• How true worship produces transformation and Christlikeness

• Why worship and obedience are powerful components of spiritual warfare

Mary Lou also discusses prayer, spiritual warfare, and the importance of recognizing that the heavens belong to Almighty God—not the powers of darkness. The episode opens with a call for believers to respond to spiritual opposition by declaring biblical truth and magnifying the Creator rather than fearing the enemy.

Moral Therapeutic Deism Is Destroying Biblical Worship | The Hidden Crisis in the Modern Church (KIB 542)

Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

Description

Is modern worship drawing believers closer to God—or subtly leading them away from biblical truth?

In this Kingdom Intelligence Briefing, Dr. Michael Lake examines the growing influence of Moral Therapeutic Deism (MTD) and how it has quietly reshaped much of modern Christianity. While many churches emphasize emotional experiences, self-fulfillment, and entertainment, Scripture consistently calls believers to holiness, repentance, covenant faithfulness, and worship centered upon the glory of God.

Mary Lou Lake also shares timely insights on heightened spiritual warfare in this season, encouraging believers to stand firm in prayer, declare God's Word, and remain steadfast in Christ, regardless of the increasing darkness surrounding us.

This message challenges every believer to examine whether our worship has become consumer-driven or truly God-centered.

In this episode, you'll discover:

• The five core beliefs of Moral Therapeutic Deism • Why much of modern worship has become man-centered • The biblical foundation of true praise and worship • Why God's holiness—not our happiness—is the center of worship • How emotional experiences can replace genuine spiritual transformation • Why repentance and covenant faithfulness are disappearing from many churches • The importance of doctrinally sound worship music • Practical principles for discerning biblical worship • Encouragement for standing strong during seasons of increased spiritual warfare

The Father is still seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. Now is the time for the remnant to return to biblical worship rooted in the holiness, majesty, and lordship of Jesus Christ.

Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

Description

Welcome to Kingdom Intelligence Briefing Episode 540 with Dr. Michael Lake and Mary Lou Lake.

What does Scripture actually teach about the office of the pastor?

In today's church culture, many believers have inherited traditions that differ greatly from the biblical model of shepherding. In this message, Dr. Michael Lake continues the Fivefold Ministry series by examining the character, responsibilities, and calling of the biblical pastor through the lens of both the Old and New Testaments.

Drawing from the teachings of Jesus, the Apostle Paul, Peter, and the biblical imagery of the Good Shepherd, this episode explains why pastors are called to protect, feed, disciple, and care for God's people—not build personal platforms or entertainment-driven ministries.

Mary Lou also shares a timely exhortation concerning America's spiritual condition, the necessity of the fear of the Lord, and why she believes God is preparing His people for a great deliverance from modern Babylonian bondage.

The Biblical Office of the Evangelist: Restoring God's Harvesters for the Last Days | KIB 539

Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

Description

The Church desperately needs to rediscover the biblical office of the evangelist.

In Episode 539 of the Kingdom Intelligence Briefing, Dr. Michael Lake continues his series on the biblical Fivefold Ministry by examining what Scripture actually teaches about the office of the evangelist. Far removed from modern celebrity culture and emotional revivalism, the true evangelist is a herald of God's Kingdom who faithfully proclaims the Gospel, calls sinners to repentance, equips believers for soul-winning, and establishes disciples for Christ.

Mary Lou Lake begins this episode by sharing an encouraging word on God's promise to quicken His people (Romans 8:11), praying for healing, restoration, renewed strength, and spiritual refreshing for the remnant. She also discusses the importance of strategic prayer for our nation, including praying over spiritual strongholds influencing Washington, D.C.

Dr. Lake then explores the biblical foundations of the evangelist through the ministries of Noah, Jonah, Isaiah, John the Baptist, Philip, Timothy, and ultimately Jesus Himself. This study challenges many modern assumptions while calling believers back to authentic New Testament ministry built upon repentance, discipleship, holiness, and covenant faithfulness.

This message is an important continuation of our Fivefold Ministry series and serves as a call for God to raise up true evangelists who will prepare the harvest before the return of Christ.

True Prophets vs. False Prophets: The Biblical Test the Church Has Forgotten | KIB 538

Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

Description

Welcome to Kingdom Intelligence Briefing Episode 538 with Dr. Michael Lake and Mary Lou Lake.

How does Scripture distinguish between a true prophet and a false prophet? In an age filled with competing prophetic voices, sensational claims, and growing deception, believers must return to the biblical standard.

In this teaching, Dr. Lake examines the lives of the Old Testament prophets to demonstrate that God's primary qualification for prophetic ministry has never been giftedness—it has always been godly character. From Moses and Samuel to Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Elijah, Daniel, and John the Baptist, the biblical pattern reveals prophets who were first transformed by God's holiness before they proclaimed His message.

This episode also exposes the defining characteristics of false prophets found throughout Scripture and explains why discernment is becoming increasingly essential as we approach the return of Christ.

Mary Lou Lake begins with important prayer updates regarding upcoming occult calendar dates and shares insights into spiritual warfare, intercession, and the importance of guarding our minds in an increasingly technological age.

If you desire biblical discernment, covenant faithfulness, and a deeper understanding of God's prophetic ministry, this episode will provide a solid scriptural foundation.

In this episode, you'll learn:

• The biblical qualifications of a true prophet
• Why character matters more than supernatural gifts
• Fifteen characteristics of God's prophets
• Fifteen characteristics of false prophets
• The difference between the Gift of Prophecy and the Office of Prophet
• Why holiness always precedes proclamation
• The danger of mixing truth with error
• Why modern prophetic movements must be tested by Scripture
• How covenant faithfulness defines authentic prophetic ministry
• Why discernment is essential in the last days

Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

Description

Counterfeit Christianity Is Being Exposed | Biblical Discernment & the Restoration of True Fivefold Ministry

The Body of Christ is entering one of the greatest seasons of testing, purification, and discernment in history.

In this powerful episode of Kingdom Intelligence Briefing #537, Dr. Michael Lake and Mary Lou Lake examine the growing spiritual deception affecting the modern Church while revealing God's plan to restore authentic biblical ministry before the days ahead.

They discuss the increasing influence of counterfeit spirituality, occult infiltration, false ministry models, artificial intelligence, spiritual warfare, and the urgent need for believers to return to Scripture, covenant faithfulness, and the fear of the Lord.

Dr. Lake also begins an important teaching on the biblical understanding of the Fivefold Ministry from Ephesians 4, separating modern traditions from the original Hebraic understanding of apostleship, prophetic ministry, and servant leadership.

Principle of the Bondservant: Kingdom Activation of Remnant Ministries Series Part 2 | KIB536

Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

Description

The Bondservant: The Missing Foundation of End-Time Ministry

In this powerful episode of the Kingdom Intelligence Briefing, Dr. Michael and Mary Lou Lake continue laying the foundation for authentic remnant ministry in the last days. Before God can release believers into greater Kingdom assignments, foundational issues must be addressed—including healing from rejection, overcoming feelings of worthlessness, understanding our identity in Christ, and embracing the biblical principle of the bondservant.

Mary Lou shares deeply personal insights regarding healing from trauma, overcoming lies spoken over her life, and discovering her true worth through the Word of God. She provides practical biblical keys for breaking free from rejection, shame, and fear of man.

Dr. Lake then explores the often-forgotten biblical concept of the bondservant, revealing why every genuine ministry calling must begin with complete surrender to Christ. Drawing from Scripture, he explains the accountability believers have before God, the dangers of self-centered ministry, and why the remnant must remain faithful to the voice of the Master rather than the pressures of culture.

As the days ahead grow increasingly challenging, God is preparing a people who know their identity, understand their authority, and are committed to serving King Jesus above all else.

This message is essential for anyone seeking to walk faithfully with God, overcome past wounds, and prepare for Kingdom service in the days ahead.
