Eleanor of Aquitaine was queen of France, then queen of England, and this is her true story, told slowly and gently so you can fall asleep inside it. A girl who inherited the richest duchy in Europe at fifteen, rode on crusade to Jerusalem, walked away from one crown and picked up another, raised a king called Lionheart, spent sixteen years as her own husband's prisoner, and then, past seventy, ruled England in all but name, ransomed her son from an emperor, and crossed the Pyrenees in her old age to fetch the granddaughter who would become the mother of a saint. She outlived two husbands, eight of her ten children, and every rival she ever had, and died at peace, a nun at the abbey of Fontevraud.
Real history for sleep: a real human voice, sources listed below, no mid roll ads, and nothing sudden. The story ends softly around the 61 minute mark and the fireside continues in the dark until the third hour. Black screen friendly.
