God in His sovereignty appoints an encounter between Philip and an Ethiopian Eunuch; Philip seizes the opportunity and shares the good news of Jesus with him, resulting in the eunuch desiring to be baptized.

Peter and John come to Samaria to lay hands on the new believers that they would receive the Holy Spirit. Seeing this power Simon desires to obtain this power through money, and Peter rebukes him for it.

Due to persecution, Philip goes to Samaria preaching the Gospel and many Samaritans believe.

As persecution grows the church in Jerusalem scatters abroad and through the power of the Spirit the gospel still spreads.

The Church continues to grow in the midst of inner dissension and external persecution.

The Church, with great courage, continues to grow as it faces persecution that included physical affliction.

The believers were living life together, and were of one heart and soul. People were giving, and needs were being met. Despite the example that Joseph (Barnabas) set, Ananias and Sapphira lied about their giving and were struck dead.
