Incomparable, part 6. In John 14 Jesus tells us that he has not left us alone in this world, but God has sent the Holy Spirit to be with us, and in us, continually.

Incomparable, part 5. Just like a small child drawing a picture, we have such a limited ability to understand and explain how amazing Jesus is, because we are human. We just get these glimpses of the one who's 'face was like the sun in full strength'.

Incomparable, part 4. Peace is not the absence of trouble. It is the presence of God, even in the most troubled situation.

Incomparable, part 3. Looking at 1 John 4: God reveals his love through his identity, incarnation and initiation of relationship with us.

Incomparable, part 2. If God, at any moment, decided to stop actively sustaining the Universe, or us, it would be over. We would all turn to dust.

Incomparable, part 1. Change is happening all around you right now, in every detail of life. But God remains unchangeable. He is unchangeably good and perfect and loving and compassionate.

In John 13 we see Jesus wash his disciples feet: he lays aside his majesty and decends to the lowest point in the room, where he does the unthinkable work of a slave.

Submission can often be seen as a dirty word, but there's real beauty, strength and freedom to be found in its practice, which was modelled perfectly by Jesus.

Biblical confession is a collision of two things: knowing the radical depths of your sin, and knowing the radical depths of God’s mercy.
