Failure is not something that our culture teaches us to deal with well. Most of us are surprised by our own failure, and it can lead us to feel broken, anxious, guilty, shameful, or fearful, all of which leave us crippled and less able to deal with our failure. Everyone deals with bad habits and hurts in their lives, and many don't even realize that they are living with emotional trauma or genetic mental health difficulties.
