As people who are trying to look more like Jesus everyday, what do we do with the topic of violence? There is a time and place for tough conversations, and we believe the King's Way Podcast is the place to have some of those talks.
The world is a place of unceasing pain and suffering, no matter how good our little corner of it can get. We are all living in the world between the garden paradise Adam was born in and the New Heavens and New Earth God is calling us to, where "there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain." (Rev. 21:4) In this world between, violence has been abundant everywhere people have been, and God's people have been no exception to receiving or giving it. That being said, as people with a calling to live above sin and abide with God, what does violence look like for us? How has it changed or how does it stay the same? In this episode, Trevor and Ryan are joined by Jesse Delk as they start the conversation through biblical passages and principles, theology, and hypothetical scenarios. No matter where you land, violence is a force too great to ignore, and we hope that God will guide you through this discussion. As always, if you have any questions, email us at [email protected]
