Multiple times a week, the parking lot across from the church is full of volunteers and clients. Society of St Stephen is an outreach ministry with our church that provides food, clothing, and financial assistance to those in need in our neighboring communities. But these are more than just handouts, SoSS provides face to face moments for those hurting and broken in our world to catch a glimpse of Jesus. In Matthew 25, Jesus calls us to clothe the naked and feed the hungry. The volunteers at SoSS are doing that every week. Come and join them!

In the sermon on the mount, Jesus speaks in Matthew 6:19-24 the truth that heart always follows your treasure. So the real question is, "What do you treasure?"

In Ephesians 5, Paul teaches the early church the importance of what life looks like when we live in the other side of "but now," not just sharing the light of Jesus, but actually being the light of Jesus.

The seed is sown and takes root; God’s word is heard and held fast. Finally, God is the one who brings forth fruit. Once again, we’re back to receiving! The church is to be a place where gospel seed is growing and bearing fruit in perseverance.

Today we dig deeper into the historical images of the Temple, which shape how we deeply we can understand Hebrews 10:19-25; ultimately, we need to ask “what we are holding onto and what is holding onto us?”

Burt and Ryan were recently in South Africa for the Global Methodist's General Conference. Ryan gives us a peek backstage of leading worship with such a large and diverse worship team, with as many as 10 different languages spoken and sung. Then Burt provides us with an explanation of the new Articles of Faith, where the GMC has been, where we are going, and what that looks like for KMC.

When Jesus delivers a parable and its meaning the remaining challenge is applying His teaching to our lives- which is a matter of heart.
