  • #17: Lessons From Our Dads
In this episode, we share stories and examples of God's grace to us through our fathers. We recognize that each of our relationships with our fathers is unique and encompass both positive and negative experiences. However, we also recognize that they are used by God to teach us many important lessons. By sharing these lessons with our sisters in Christ, we can grow in understanding of one another as sisters and as people. We hope you enjoy these stories as much as we did.

  • #16: Lessons From Our Moms
In this episode, we look back on the examples of our mothers and their impacts on our lives. We recognize that each individual mother-child relationship is unique in their ups and downs, but we also recognize that God uses our mothers' strengths and weaknesses to teach us different and valuable lessons. By sharing these lessons we can grow in understanding of one another as sisters and as people. We hope you enjoy these stories as much as we did.

  • #14: Racism
In this episode, we review a sermon addressing racism. This issue is not a political one but a gospel one. It's a weighty and important topic for everyone, but especially for believers. We all felt the weight of the conversation, as there is so much to learn and grow in. Our hope is that the discussion, although not a complete or conclusive one, will bring about the asking of hard questions amongst church family and a growing love for one another through ethnic harmony.

  • #13: Gospelize
In episode 13 we discuss evangelism, or how our church likes to say it, gospelizing. If you're like us, the fear and anxiety of failure can inhibit you from spreading the Gospel. By God's grace though, we have church sisters to "gospelize" us and encourage each other in boldness and love even as we struggle. We hope you are emboldened and encouraged as well!

  • #12: Modesty
In this episode we wrestled with the important, and confusing, concept of modesty. This topic can be controversial, and for good reason. Although it was intimidating, we enjoyed digging through the messy layers of the heart issues, insecurities, and idolatry that lay at the core of this issue. We hope you do too!

  • #11: Goal Setting
In episode 11, we discuss goals for the New Year. However you say it, "resolutions, "goals, or "changes", the new year is a time that many of us evaluate ourselves and identify areas of growth we would like to see moving forward. Together we discuss how and why we do this and practical ways to help each other succeed. Happy New Years from Kinship!!

  • #10: Motherhood (Discipline)
In episode 10, we discuss the thorny issue of discipline (and spanking). This subject is highly controversial but as parents who seek to disciple their children according to Scripture, it must be carefully considered. Every parent struggles against temper tantrums and defiant attitudes from time to time. Some consider this topic outdated or confusing but God carefully instructs parents on disciplining their kids. Join our conversation and talk about it with your church family.

  • #9: Motherhood (Discipleship)
In episode 9, we discuss a few of the many joys, blessings, and challenges that come with motherhood. Whether you’re a mother of one child, multiple children, or have yet to begin growing your family, the idea of motherhood can be both exciting and daunting. From learning how children impact other relationships such as your marriage, church family, and extended family, to learning how to correct your children, (or have them correct you?), we explore how God’s grace is evident through the gift of children. We hope that all mothers or mothers to be that listen are encouraged to seek support from other mothers in their church family, and grow in joy and love for the Lord through loving their children.

  • #8: Transparency And Vulnerability
In episode 8, we discuss the how’s and why’s of transparency and vulnerability. Being open and honest with church family is often appealing in theory, but we understand that sometimes the journey of getting there can be challenging and uncomfortable. Questions such as “how much to share” “who to share with” “how do I even start” can easily become discouraging. That is why in this episode we share practical ways of connecting with and creating a culture of vulnerability with your church family and some of the many ways we have seen the fruit of this in our own lives. Our prayer is that you find this helpful in the future building of beautiful relationships with your church family!
