In 1970, Jack Kirby left Marvel and returned to DC Comics to launch his Fourth World saga comprising the New Gods, Mister Miracle and the Forever People.

To kick things off, he revitalised Jimmy Olsen, adding the Guardian and the Newsboy Legion to his supporting cast.
