Nl: De wind speelde vrolijk met de dunne takken van de kale bomen in het Vondelpark.
En: The wind played cheerfully with the thin branches of the bare trees in Vondelpark.

Nl: Het park was bedekt met een dunne laag sneeuw, en het water van de vijvers had een dunne laag ijs.
En: The park was covered with a thin layer of snow, and the water of the ponds had a thin layer of ice.

Nl: Het veld stond vol met mensen die kites oplaten.
En: The field was full of people flying kites.

Nl: De lucht was gevuld met kleurige kites, die dansten tegen de grijze winterlucht.
En: The sky was filled with colorful kites dancing against the gray winter sky.

Nl: Bram stond vol zelfvertrouwen, zijn kite was de grootste.

Nl: riep Sanne, maar Bram was al op pad.
En: yelled Sanne, but Bram was already on his way.

Nl: Hij stapte behoedzaam het ijs op.
En: He carefully stepped onto the ice.

Nl: Zijn stappen echoën door het stille park.
En: His steps echoed through the quiet park.

Nl: Sanne en Elske keken elkaar aan, hun gezichten vol zorgen.
En: Sanne and Elske looked at each other, their faces full of concern.

Nl: Elske keek snel om zich heen, op zoek naar een oplossing.
En: Elske quickly looked around, searching for a solution.

Nl: Ze zag een lange tak op de grond.
En: She saw a long branch on the ground.

En: The sound cut through the icy air like a knife.

En: "You were right," he admitted, his voice soft but sincere.

En: Elske smiled slightly.

En: "Maybe less daring next time," she said, nodding kindly at him.
