The 2020 Denver Broncos season is on to its second to last game, and so is the weekly 9NEWS podcast Klis' Mike Drop.

In his latest episode, Mike starts by discussing if Drew Lock will be Denver's QB in 2021. Mike has had some talks with John Elway lately and other Broncos' sources that make him thing the team is ready to run it back with Lock next season.

In his latest episode, Mike starts by discussing Drew Lock's breakout game against the Carolina Panthers last weekend that has many thinking he might be the team's best option in 2021. The key is going to be if Lock can find a way to do it again three more times this season. 

Next, Mike welcomes in AFC Special Teams Player of the Week Diontae Spencer, who had a punt return for a touchdown in Carolina. Spencer has shown bursts of explosiveness, but finally found a way to take one to the house. 

Finally, the Broncos play on Saturday, not Sunday this week, as Josh Allen and the red hot Buffalo Bills visit Denver. Allen, a Wyoming product, is looking to wrap up the AFC East as Denver tries to spoil their plans.

Mike starts by discussing the Broncos' missed opportunity in Kansas City, a game they could have won if just a couple of plays had gone a little differently. Mike also briefly addresses the six-game suspension cornerback A.J. Bouye is facing. 

Next, Mike welcomes Denver punter Sam Martin for a 1-on-1 chat. Martin signed as a free agent from the Detroit Lions and also holds the ball for kicker Brandon McManus on his field goals and extra points.  

Finally, Mike looks ahead to Denver's game in Charlotte this Sunday morning against the Carolina Panthers. Former Valor High School football star Christian McCaffrey will be playing against his dad's old team for the first time and grew up a huge Broncos fan.

Mike starts by discussing the ridiculous farce of a game against the New Orleans Saints. The Broncos had no quarterback eligible to play and had no shot. The NFL did them absolutely no favors. 

Next, Mike welcomes in left tackle Garett Bolles, who just signed a four-year, $68 million contract extension. It's been quite the turnaround for Bolles after being booed multiple times in recent years after committing holding penalties and he said he's thrilled to be staying in Denver. 

Finally, a look ahead to the game on Sunday night against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos have lost 10 games in a row to KC, and will need a minor miracle in primetime on NBC to stop that streak.

Finally, Mike talks about the team's first-ever trip to Las Vegas as they get ready to take on the rival Raiders. Vegas, currently sitting with a 5-3 record, means the 3-5 Broncos almost certainly have to win this game to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
