It's another Monday so that means another KOB episode coming straight at you! We start this episode breaking down an amazing statement performance by Erin Blanchfield, as she gets a huge submission victory over former title holder Jessica Andrade. We also give a recap of the other fight that we featured last week which was Alex Hernandez verses Jim Miller, that fight saw Alex putting on a gutsy performance to get the decision victory over the rowdy vet. From there, we jump into our picks and predictions for this coming weekend's UFC Fight Night Spann vs Krylov. Outside of the main event we also made picks for a great fight in the middleweight division between Andre Muniz and Brendan Allen. We then do a new segment where we give our UFC Division Power Rankings. While it was fun, we definitely know there will be some mixed reactions so we invite anyone to post their rankings in our comment section. Finally we move into the news where we talk about the Islam using an IV situation, Beneil Dariush getting a contract to fight Charles Oliveira and some fight announcements. We can all finally exhale, UFC 284 is now in the books and we have so much to talk about. We start things off having a lengthy conversation about our thoughts on Islam's win, the fight itself and what's next for both fighters. From there we dive into the amazing performance from Yair Rodriguez in his victory over Josh Emmett to win the Interim Featherweight title. Afterwards we give a full main card recap of the rest of UFC 284. From there we give our picks/predictions for UFC Fight Night Andrade vs Blanchfield. And then finally we give you all the news and happenings from last week including the new TUF format, Jens Pulver being inducted into the UFC Hall Of Fame, some fight announcements and the Gamebred Boxing 4 card. We have possibly the biggest fight since Conor and Khabib on the way and we couldn't be more excited! Hope everyone had a great weekend but now it's time to talk pound for pound greatness! Before we jump into UFC 284 we first give our recap of UFC Fight Night Lewis vs Spivac. In what was an amazing performance, Spivac puts Lewis away in one round with a slick head and arm. We also talk about the Korean Superboy as Choi's fight ends in a draw after an interesting call to take a point away. From there we move into the huge card taking place this saturday in Perth, Australia. We give out picks/preview for Islam Makhachev vs Alexander Volkanovski as Pound for Pound #1 fights Pound for Pound #2 for the Lightweight Title! We also pick for the co-main event as Yair Rodriguez will face Josh Emmet for the interim Featherweight Title, and Jack Della Maddelena faces Randy Brown. Lastly we give you the news and fight announcements that include Conor and Chandler coaching TUF, Prime becoming the sports drink of the UFC, Fedor retires and Arnold Allen to face Max Holloway! After a weekend of no fights we jump right back into gear to get you guys ready for this Saturday's fights! We start things off with our picks/predictions for UFC Fight Night Lewis vs Spivac. This card will be a little different with a 1am eastern start time, with the card originally suppose to be taking place in South Korea. From there, we have a fun segment where we all 3 put on our match maker hats. With this we all 3 create our dream cards for July's International Fight Week. Lastly, we jump into the news that features a litany of fight announcements, Frank Mir's daughter getting a NIL deal with the UFC and Conor McGregor possibly being the next Ultimate Fighter coach! First pay per view of the year and we couldn't ask for better fights! Let's get things started as we give our thoughts on the performance of the new UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Jamahal Hill! We dig into what could possibly be next for him and what his ceiling could be as a champion. From there, we move into the co-main event that saw Brandon Moreno putting a finish to the rivalry with Deiveson Figueiredo via doctor stoppage. We move into our recap of the rest of the main card and a few stand out fights from the undercard. With no fights to preview we decided to play a game where we each presented 3 out of the UFC fighters that we would trade with current UFC fighters. And lastly, we dive into a heavy week of news. This includes Francis's comments and future, Gordon Ryan signing a 7 figure deal, Leon Edwards taking on Kamaru Usman for a 3rd time, and much more. 2023 has not been short of dramatics and awesome fights, and it doesn't stop now! We have a jam packed episode so let's get into it. We start things off with a dominant performance by Sean Strickland as he gets the win over Nasserdine Imavov on short notice. Dan Ige, Umar Nurmagomedov and others also had great performances on the night. From there, we move into our picks and predictions for UFC 283 headlined by the light heavyweight title fight between Glover Teixeira and Jamahal Hill, followed by the quad-rilogy fight between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno. Also we feature a welter weight bout between Gilbert Burns and Neil Magny, but the whole card is full of amazing fights. From there we jump into possibly the biggest thing to ever happen in MMA history, the last UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou is now a free agent! We talk about him leaving behind his title, what Dana White described as the biggest heavyweight contract in history, and the match ups. From that news we also report that now Jon Jones will be fighting Cyril Gane for the vacant heavyweight title! From there we have Brandon help us tackle the topic of "How should the UFC punish Dana White?" via one of his "Facts, Don't Care About Your Feelings". This is a pressing topic in the community and we made sure to give it it's full due and attention. After that we jump into the news which included a huge topic. That topic being Jake Paul announcing his signing to PFL, which will include fighting in boxing and mma. We do a deep dive onto who his potential opponents can be and how this deal can affect companies like the UFC. This was by far one of the funnest episodes we have ever recorded! To help bring in the new year we called on our very own Jacob Hurlock for a game of MMA Jeopardy. The year is winding away but we have one more card to talk about! This episode we recap UFC Cannonier vs Strickland, and it didn't disappoint! Jared Cannonier edged Sean Strickland in a razor close split decision victory. The co-main was a fight that we could have talked about for way longer, and that was Arman Tsarukyan's amazing performance against a very game Damir Ismagulov. We discuss his potential as a title contender at 155. After we speak on the fights we then announce our fight pick champion of this year. From that card, we move into a fun game of 2 Truths and A Lie, MMA version. Jon put Nate and Brandon to the test about 7 different fighters with some crazy facts and some surprising lies. We give some updates with the news including some fight announcements, Fight Pass Invitational 3 results, Henry Cejudo's best tweet, and the unfortunate passing of Orlando Sanchez.
