Lawmakers in both parties have rebuked President Donald Trump after he called for Republicans to "take over" and nationalize U.S. elections, warning the proposal would upend the Constitution's system of state-run voting. Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), vice chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said the Georgia search, combined with Trump's remarks, signals a broader effort.

A newly released batch of Department of Justice records from its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein includes an alleged 2002 email exchange between his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell and Melania Trump. The documents, made public as part of a broader disclosure ordered by Congress, show personal but limited correspondence from years before Melania married President Donald Trump. According to the records, Melania wrote to Maxwell on October 23, 2002, referencing a New York magazine story about Epstein and discussing possible travel. Epstein, a disgraced financier and registered predator, died at 66 in August 2019 while being held at New York's Metropolitan Correctional Center awaiting trial on federal trafficking charges. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the Justice Department is releasing more than 3 million pages of records, along with more than 2,000 videos and roughly 180,000 images. The disclosure followed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed by Trump in 2025, which compelled the DOJ to make its investigative records public. Epstein maintained social ties with numerous prominent figures, including Trump and former President Bill Clinton, neither of whom has been charged with misconduct related to Epstein. Representative Ro Khanna raised concerns about the scope of the release, saying, "The DOJ said it identified over 6 million potentially responsive pages but is releasing only about 3.5 million after review and redactions.

The View hosts made it clear they have no desire to ever sit down and banter with U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, with Alyssa Farah Griffin comparing her contentious congressional hearings on her bungling of the Epstein files to Bravo's notoriously messy Real Housewives reunions. Joy Behar noted that Bondi was "mimicking" President Donald Trump's contemptible behavior, and predicted the AG's fealty to the president will be worthless once he's out of office. Behar's co-hosts agreed, especially Ana Navarro -- a long time acquaintance of Bondi from their Florida legal days -- who called the AG's performance "personally disgusting and disappointing" and compared her conduct to a "high school production of Lady Macbeth."

According to sources, Paisley is consulting Erika about her visit to Northern Ireland and a potential branch of TPUSA in the region. Hence, Paisley's attempt to help TPUSA might deepen his ties with the president, who was quite close with the organization's former CEO, Charlie Kirk.
The war powers resolution, introduced by House Rules Committee ranking member Jim McGovern, would have required the president "to remove United States Armed Forces from Venezuela, unless explicitly authorized by a declaration of war or specific statutory authorization for use of military force."
