Welcome to Movie Mandates, a new review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme!  October's theme is Slash Happy Halloween so my sister mandated I watch Child's Play, the original from 1988.  Fair warning, we're both big fans of Chucky so this episode runs long.  We'll do our best to keep subsequent instalments to an hour!

1:54 - Trivial Trivia

8:40 - Child's Play review

1:47:38 - Next episode's mandated movie

We'll be back in two weeks with another mandated movie.  If you'd like to watch it, click here to find where it's streaming or available to rent.

If you'd like to watch the video version of Movie Mandates, you can do so on YouTube.  Alternatively, you can listen to and audio-only version on iTunes.  New episodes of Movie Mandates drop on the first and third Wednesday of every month!

Credits: Molehill Mountain is hosted by Andrew Eisen and Keleigh Eisen.  Music in the show includes "To the Top" by Silent Partner and is used with permission.  Movie Mandates logo and art by Lynndy Lee.

A feature for patrons at the $25 tier and above, BumbleKast Minis are quick-fire episodes where we run through a bunch of questions from one person, every month. Today's episode is sponsored by X!

Ian's not enough of a monster to make Whisper fight Zombot Tangle, is he?

It looks better than it sounds.

0:25 - Rogue Galaxy looks a bit more than simply inspired by Skies of Arcadia

11:16 - My initial impressions of the new Lord of the Rings show

24:27 - We finally got a look at The Super Mario Bros. movie! I've got thoughts...

1:13:00 - I was super excited for Werewolf By Night! And then I watched it...

If you missed Saturday’s live broadcast of Molehill Mountain, you can watch the video replay on YouTube.  Alternatively, you can catch audio versions of the show on iTunes. Molehill Mountain streams live at 7p PST every Saturday night!

7:27 PMJared Kniselyfrom the looks of it, the movie will take place in the universe of the games rather than new yorl

7:27 PMJared Kniselyyork

7:27 PMSheekagoI actually liked the trailer. Chris Pratt as Mario's voice is just Chris Pratt.

7:27 PMSheekagoJack Black was great as Bowser

7:30 PMSheekagoAndy Dwyer is a character Chris Pratt played in Parks and Rec.

7:32 PMLee ShowronLot people say they don’t like the voice actor of Mario because he doesn’t sound italian.

7:33 PMSheekagoChris Pratt sings in Parks and Rec. He can sing.

7:33 PMLee ShowronIf Mario and Luigi’s last name isn’t Mario. I wonder why so many people say it is.

7:34 PMLee ShowronChris Pratt also played as the star in lego movie

7:36 PMJared Kniselywould a new york accent be slightly italian

7:37 PMSheekagoMaybe playing as Mario for a full movie might tax Martinet's voice

7:37 PMaddictedtochaosAgreed.

7:38 PMaddictedtochaosJack Black is gonna kill it as Bowser.

7:39 PMLee ShowronI never thought of Jack Black as Bowser though because most he played the character says Cool stuff and Bowser isn’t that way

7:41 PMSheekagoChris Pratt on camera seemed like he was high

7:43 PMLee ShowronThis Mario movie is going give Live action sonic movie a run for its money?

7:48 PMLee ShowronThat’s most likely why Live action Mario bombed

7:49 PMSheekagoDidn't the other guy in Master of the Universe playeTom Paris in Star Trek Voyager

7:55 PMLee ShowronOther than the Japanese Mario movie. This new one will be most likely be first good Mario movie

:55 PMLee ShowronI don’t understand why America didn’t get the Mario movie Japan had though

7:56 PMJared Kniselywhat you dont like teeth?

8:01 PMLee ShowronWell the company that made the Mario bros movie also made Minions. They did pretty good movies

8:01 PMSheekagoI'm surprised none of the penguins didn't get dropped off a cliff's edge, a la Mario 64

8:02 PMSheekagoKeeganMichael Key
