So much to talk about; not a bit of it important!

1:23 - Remember all the times I complained about video game trailers not showing what the game is? Masahiro Sakurai agrees with me!

3:59 - Turns out my new job allows me to take vacation as soon as I accrue it. The probationary period refers to Leave of Absence not Paid Time Off

7:05 - I figured out how to turn off The Escapist's dark mode!

11:54 - The case of the pullup bar and the busted bolt

17:47 - My sister and I are doing a new show: Movie Mandates!

22:34 - My package was delivered, just not to me...

27:38 - The unit above mine is getting remodeled. In addition to noise pollution, it knocked out my internet

30:29 - My protein may have been delivered to someone else but someone else's steak dinner was delivered to me

33:10 - One of the many reasons I prefer self-checkout

37:22 - Your money isn't good enough for Bethesda. It also requires your membership if you want to play Doom Eternal

52:15 - Andor is good! Darn shame it took four episodes to get there

Chat Transcript:

SheekagoHey Andrew

SheekagoAre there going to be any Andor spoilers? I haven't caught up yet

SheekagoGotcha

SheekagoThe escapist mooned you

Alexander OugaiThere's a saying in Russian "положить болт" that literally means "to place a bolt on something" - basically, to treat something without care.

Alexander OugaiYou can place a hell of a lot of bolts now!

SheekagoI saw your tweet on the new show. I like the cartoon avatar of you has no emotion on his face.

SheekagoI get chocolate protein add pbfit (powdered peanut butter) and banana.

Sheekagowtf? contractors that work past 3pm?

SheekagoSteak dinner from Chicken crazy take out. That is CRAZY

SheekagoI can't even trust myself

SheekagoHappy birthday to your sister! Mine is tomorrow!

CafeFoxI played the doom shareware version back in like 96, 97. It made me motion sick.

SheekagoI played the demo version of Doom on PC. I would play it after class in college, so around 1am, in the dark. Those pink demons would sneak up behind me and attack. Gave me the jump scares.

CafeFoxI hate creating unnecessary accounts for things. When I played SSX for PS3, I had to sign up for an EA account.

SheekagoMaybe that's why they could premiere 3 episodes at once. They rushed the editing and pacing.

SheekagoI think I'm in Chapter 3 of Tokyo Mirage Sessions. I'm enjoying it

CafeFoxRecommended JRPG for PS2/PS4: Rogue Galaxy. enjoyed!

Welcome to the inaugural episode of Movie Mandates, a new review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme!  October's theme is Slash Happy Halloween so I mandated my sister watch The Hills Run Red, not the western from 1966, the horror film from 2009.  The latter seemed more appropriate for this month's theme, you see.

0:50 - Trivial Trivia

5:35 - The Hills Run Red review

1:16:22 - Next episode's mandated movie

We'll be back in two weeks with another mandated movie.  If you'd like to watch it, click here to find where it's streaming or available to rent.

If you'd like to watch the video version of Movie Mandates, you can do so on YouTube.  Alternatively, you can listen to and audio-only version on iTunes.  New episodes of Movie Mandates drop on the first and third Wednesday of every month!

Credits: Molehill Mountain is hosted by Andrew Eisen and Keleigh Eisen.  Music in the show includes "To the Top" by Silent Partner and is used with permission.  Movie Mandates logo and art by Lynndy Lee.

What does a Phantom Ruby steak taste like?

The patrons have spoken once again, and this time they chose the most shocking of elements: electricity!
