How do we serve God in the work place? Paul's message to Masters and slaves gives us principles that we can apply to our jobs as employees and bosses.

Marriage is to be enjoyed for the glory of God. Husband and wives therefore need the leading and directing of The Spirit to make it work - God's way.

Bring up your children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

How we are filled by the Spirit

To walk as 'children of light' we need to be awakened to who we are in Christ. It is only by the power of the Holy Spirit that we are able to live this way.

We need the right role model. Paul tells us to imitate God the Father.

1. the Father loves you so walk in love

2. the Father forgives you so walk in forgiveness

Walk in a manner worthy of your calling. this means humility, gentleness, patience, love and unity.

Pray this 3 fold prayer along with Paul; to be strengthened by the Spirit. rooted and grounded in Christ's love, and filled with the fullness of God.

Paul challenges the church in Ephesus about their problem past. He points to their present peace maker (Jesus). Finally he reminds them that they have a glorious new tomorrow, all believers, regardless of their background, united in salvation through Jesus.
