Freedom can come so suddenly that people have to leave with dough still unleavened. Egypt urges Israel out in the night, and the people carry what they can.
After the death of the firstborn, the Egyptians urgently press Israel to leave, fearing they will all die. The Israelites take their unleavened dough, ask the Egyptians for silver, gold, and clothing, and the Lord gives them favor.
At the Last Supper in Luke 22, Jesus takes Passover bread and cup and gives them new meaning in Himself. His body is given, and His blood establishes the new covenant.
God keeps exact promises over long timelines. Four hundred thirty years is not forgetfulness.
Jesus fulfills Passover by giving His body and blood for the new covenant. He brings a deeper exodus, freeing His people from sin, guilt, death, and the powers that enslave.
Before you eat one meal or snack, pause and remember that your deepest freedom came at the cost of Christ’s body and blood. Thank Him for bringing you out of slavery to sin.

REFLECT & RESPOND
Key Line: Freedom becomes steady when remembrance keeps returning you to the Redeemer.
Reflection Question: What old slavery are you tempted to treat as familiar or harmless again?
Practice: Pause before one meal today and thank Jesus for the freedom His body and blood secured.

PRAYER
God, thank You for keeping Your promises and bringing Your people out. Help me remember my freedom in Jesus instead of drifting back toward old slavery. Thank You for the body and blood of Christ, the new covenant, and the life You give.
