What is the Sabbath? Why is the number 7 so significant? In this chapter we take a look at the laws God gives Moses concerning the Sabbath of the land, redemption, provision and lending to the poor! Thank you for listening and for your continued support!

This season we are going to embark on the 3rd book of Moses called Leviticus. The first three chapters of this episode talks about the various offerings made by the Israelites in atonement of their sins. The Lord helped me to understand the deeper meaning of these sacrifices and how it helped the people in those days to break free from their daily sinful lives.

The intricate detailing of the building of the tabernacle and the Ark of Covenant makes me think of the human design and how we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. A human phenomenon we are, to behold the presence of God in all His glory right within us. But there are levels to understanding this glory and it starts with the spirit.

To be like Christ is to embody the characteristics of Christ! We must be obedient, faithful, steadfast, spirit-filled, prayerful and filled with LOVE. What kind of life are we living as believers of Christ? What do we idolize? What is our identity in Christ?

For the Lord said to Moses, "Say to the children of Israel, 'You are a stiff-necked people. I could come up into your midst in one moment and consume you. Now therefore, take off your ornaments, that I may know what to do to you." Exodus 33:5 NKJV.

Like our ancestors the Israelites, to whom by spiritual grafting we are related, we tend to be stubborn in our ways. We only want we want instead of what God wants for us. Even when we want God's will for us, we are too impatient to experience the reality of it. At what point in our Christian walk, do we come to the realization that our way is the wrong way? When do we begin to understand that unless God's name is on it, it didn't come from Him?

Most people skim through the readings of the books of the Old Testament for lack of understanding the message being delivered by God. This week's reading highlighted the Altar of Incense and its significance as it relates to the Israelites and God. The Priesthood. In these two chapters, God appoints Aaron and his sons as priests over Israel giving Moses detailed instructions on how to make them fit for the position God has called them to. "The Altar" - This week, we continue reading about the laws God set forth before the Israelites through Moses. God is so detailed about the building of the Tabernacle and The Altar where the Ark of Covenant is kept. These details can be likened to us, the believers, true followers of Christ! We are members that make up the body of Christ who is the Head. Each member is designed with intricate detail from God who formed us and the light upon us must continually shine.
