Robert Durst is a New York City real estate heir suspected of murdering Kathleen McCormack Durst, his first wife, who disappeared in New York in 1982, and Susan Berman, his longtime friend, who was killed in Los Angeles in 2000. He was tried for the murder of his neighbor, Morris Black, who was killed in Texas in 2001, but was ultimately acquitted of his murder on the grounds of self-defense. This one is a doozy folks! Trigger warning for this episode as Mr. Kemper is a very twisted individual who did some unspeakable things to his victims. Ed murdered ten people, including his paternal grandparents and mother. He is noted for his large size (6 feet 9 inches) and for his high intellect, possessing an IQ of 145. Kemper was nicknamed the Co-ed Killer as the majority of his victims were female college students.

Harold Fredrick Shipman was a convicted English serial killer. A doctor by profession, he is among the most prolific serial killers in recorded history with 218 murders being positively ascribed to him, although the actual number is likely much higher. Some speculate as high as 250 if not more.

Trigger warning: This episode is about a tough topic, a child serial killer. Come listen in as we talk about this waste of space, Westley Allan Dodd. In 1989, he sexually assaulted and murdered three young boys in Vancouver, Washington. He was arrested later that year after a failed attempt to abduct a six-year-old boy at a movie theater. Westley kept detailed accounts of his murders in a diary which was found by police. After pleading guilty to the charges of murder, he received the death penalty. He refused an automatic appeal, and his execution by hanging was carried out on January 5, 1993. Good riddance.

Nannie Doss was a serial killer during the first half of the 20th century who earned the monikers: “The Giggling Granny,” and “The Jolly Black Widow” after a killing spree that began in the 1920s and concluded in 1954. She ended up being responsible for the deaths of 11 people. Nannie's favorite hobbies included serialized romance magazines and poisoning her relatives. Ted was commonly described as a charming, articulate and intelligent man, though nobody knew his hidden side. He is known to be one of the most prolific and vicious serial killers to have terrorized the streets of Los Angeles in the ’80s. Richard who was a self-professed Satanist, was found guilty of 13 counts of murder, five counts of attempted murder, 11 counts of sexual assault, and 14 counts of burglary, all crimes he committed within the span of 14 months. Most of these crimes were committed in the victims California homes. 

For our very first podcast, we decided to discuss a less well-known serial killer named Dorothea Puente, a.k.a "The Death House Landlady".  In the 1980s, Puente ran a boarding house in Sacramento, California and murdered various elderly and mentally disabled boarders before cashing their Social Security checks. Her total count reached nine confirmed murders, and six unconfirmed. Many of her victims were found buried in the boarding house’s yard.
