    Reno police and the FBI are looking for a bank robber. About 11:15 Saturday morning man walked into the Nevada State Bank at 1 West Liberty, and threatened a teller, who handed over cash. No weapon was seen. The man then ran off west on Liberty Street. The robber is white and about 5'10" with an orange ball cap with black trim. He may have been carrying a canvas bag.

    Reno Police arrested a man yesterday afternoon for assault with a deadly weapon. Police say they were called to an apartment on Dickerson Road to a report of a domestic disturbance. Victims told officers that 28-year-old Andrew Vitale had chased both of them from the house while armed with a knife. Officers say Vitale came out of the apartment after about two hours and fought with officers, who were able to take him into custody.

    Reno Police arrested a man yesterday afternoon on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Police say they were called to an apartment on Dickerson Road to a report of a domestic disturbance. Victims told officers that 28-year-old Andrew Vitale chased both of them from the house while armed with a knife. When officers arrived Vitale reportedly went inside his apartment, locked himself inside, and reportedly threw several knives at officers through an open window. Officers say Vitale came out of the apartment after about two hours and fought with officers, who were able to take him into custody. No serious injuries have been reported in the incident.

    That "real unemployment rate" -- also known as U-6 in the Bureau of Labor Statistics says Nevada ranks top in the nation for U-6, according to numbers released on Friday. 13.9 percent of the state's population is unemployed, underemployed, or they're counted as "discouraged workers" .... just plain not looking for work because they can't find it.... 7.3 percent of Nevadans fall into that category. Right behind Nevada ... california's in second place and New mexico's in third.

    Nevada's final snow survey of the season shows the snowpack at 100% of average. One survey on Friday at Mt Rose Ski Resort shows the snowpack to be 114% of normal, a year ago at the same site, it was just 36% of average.
