Carson City Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a 13-year-old boy, accused of shooting his four-year-old brother in the head with a BB gun. The boy is in critical but stable condition. At least one BB penetrated his skull and was embedded in the boy’s brain. The boy's family originally told detectives that boys in the neighborhood were playing with airsoft or BB guns in the area of their home when a ricochet struck the boy.....

Senator Dean Heller voted to move debate forward on the latest GOP effort to restrict legal abortion. The bill prohibits abortions 20 weeks or later into a pregnancy except in cases of rape, incest, or when the pregnancy poses a health threat to the mother. This legislation failed to reach the 60-vote threshold in order to advance to consideration of the bill. Heller called it an important step in the fight to protect innocent life....
