The Pyramid McCarran widening project is quickly winding down, and the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County says there's just a few last minute details crews are working on.

The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County says the Pyramid McCarran widening project is coming close to completion, with some minor details being completed by crews this week. New sound walls and extra lanes have been added, and the majority of work has been finished.

NV Energy and the Reno Fire Department are at the scene of a natural gas leak they call "significant" on East Grove Street between Virginia Street and Wrondel Way. A trailer park on that block has been evacuated. All businesses on the south side of Grove between Wrondel and Locust are also evacuated. RTC has two buses on scene to give evacuees a place to be comfortable. The public is asked to stay away from the area.....

At least five brush fires were knocked out today along Highway 395 near Parr Boulevard north of Reno. No cause of the fire outbreak has been determined, and traffic delays there can be expected for a little while longer. Six engines responded and for a time one traffic lane was shutdown....
